As a league, we should be very proud of this list of players. . .especially the Academic All-Americans. . .
Personally, I want to congratulate Matt Weurfful - the first player from P.L.U. ever to be a first-team All-American. He's also on the Academic AA list, which makes his former coach very proud.
Great job to everyone on the list. It's great to see the PNCLL getting some of the individual attention it deserves.

I could be wrong, but I think this is the first time Oregon has ever had anyone on the 1st team as well.

What about that one defenseman from Lakeridge who went to Oregon for like two years but then left for CSU?
I'm pretty sure when he graduated from CSU he was 1st team AA, maybe at Oregon as well, im not sure.
Jeff Schmidt, i think was his name...

What was the criteria for Academic All-Americans?
I'm probably in the sky, flying with the fishes
Or maybe in the ocean, swimming with the pigeons

The MCLA recognizes individual playing and academic excellence with Academic All America awards - Candidates must appear on their respective Conference’s First or Second all Conference Team and posses a cumulative GPA of 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale) for the most recently completed term of study.
From the release on the main page that lists all MCLA award recipients.
