What a final quarter between Duke and Cornell! Amazing comeback by the Big Red.

All I can say is.....WOW!. What a game. Hope the final is as good as that one.

Shout out to CATLAXer Mike Corbollotti who scored a goal for Cornell in the middle of their comeback run.

One thing I noticed in both games that i was a little disappointed about was the amount of false starts and illegal procedures on the face offs. what's with both the guys always jumping and trying to "cheat" out their opponent rather than just trying to beat him heads up?

Great, great game.

At first look, I couldn't believe Greer had caught that pass. I am also wondering why you have a short stick on Greer in the last 17 seconds anyways?

They had 2 poles running the wings on the faceoff which left a shorty down on the crease guy. It is a curious strategy.

I saw coverage of the semis on local news for the first time ever. Before it would be amazing if they even mentioned the championship results. Its great to see lax getting more publicity.

I'm sure they put the shorty on Greer to "lock him off". . .oops. I'm sure the Cornell coaching staff would like to have that one back.

I think I just would have dropped my stick and hugged Greer at that point.

Yeah, but if you look at the replay, the guy did everything BUT foul him. He was right where he was supposed to be. It was just as great a play as the Cornell goal through a triple-team a few minutes earlier. It's amazing just how important those back to back LSM goals were to the outcome.

it was interesting to watch both teams running two poles up top. in high school we did the same thing, but i've never seen both teams doing it at the same time. made for some fun ground ball situations with 4 poles and 2 shorties up top.

and yeah, fantastic finish by Duke. almost let this one go, but got their act together when they needed to.

It would have worked better but the guy wasn't playing Greer well enough IMO. Should have been between Greer and the ball, looking at Greer and not focusing on the play.

Great comeback for Duke, that came up just a tad bit short.

the ending of this story reminded me of Rocky I.

That was one hell of a final game also. Doesn't get much more exciting than that.

I definitely think playing the late game on Saturday and having to play it against Cornell hurt Duke. I think it probably kept them from practicing on Sunday. Duke just never got things going in the first half.

I also for one am happy that Duke did not win the championship. The disgraced lacrosse with their actions last year. I know that all charges were dropped, and the allegations were false, but the team should have never had the party in the first place. In my opinion they were guilty when the party happened. The players should also not get their year back. Everything that happened was brought on by the Duke players by having the party, and not by anyone else.
