Tyler Sabey graduated early from high school and actually played at BYU this spring. Don't know what his mission plans are.
Trammell Cox is a very good goalie from Parker, CO, but last I heard he was contemplating an appointment at the Air Force Academy.
Wes Goar is another very good goalie from Littleton, CO, but given the glut of goalies BYU will have next year, it wouldn't surprise me if he red-shirted next year...2nd-Team All-State.
Brian Mathay is another solid middie, just named 2nd-Team All-State.
Matt Markham and Colton Baines are both very solid midfielders from Parker and I would think they would both see some playing time.

Markham and Baines (and Capuccio) better be better than their dads...

Of that group Mark Manning probably has the most potential. He could have a Teddy Ferrin type year. He was the only Utah player invited to the U-19 national tryouts (which only invite 120 total).
Also of note, this is the first year BYU will have a freshman who is a son of a BYU lax alumni. In fact there will be 4, Baines, Markham, Cappuccio, and Hawes.
There are also a couple names left off the list that are serious players and should be contributors next year.
The returning missionary class is not large but will also have a couple contributors.

Wow. A list like that of 26 solid recruits...that one recruiting class is comparable to entire Division B squads. That's the fruition of utilizing resources.

Snyder, Smith, Manning, Goldsmith, Locke are Div A All-State
Wilson, Bowen are Div B All-State There were 1800 players in the UHSLL this season so these are the best kids and all of them can play.
Jeff Howell had a great senior year
They call Dougherty and Nixon the "Storm'in Mormons" at Hayfield; the bookend poles led Hayfield to a 13-0 regular season.
Dan Neeleman will lead New Canaan tonight against Darien in the semi-finals. He will leave this summer on his mission as he wants to play 3 years with his cousin-Ted Ferrin.
Additionally, Manning was selected to the National Senior Showcase in Denver later in June as well as the U-19 Team USA tryout at UMBC in July.
Pat Matheson was accepted this week who is also an All-State Attackman. He is about the same size as Chris Rueckert if you can imagine that! 6-7 and about 240. A man among boys. He was selected the MVP of the Division A All-Star game Wed. night. He could be the best of them in afew years.

Glad to see the Larkin boys are coming back to Utah. The head coach at DeSales quit like right in the middle of the season, so I'm sure they've had enough of that nonsense. Two nice players for Westminster.

Utah Academic all america Harris from fremont is off to USU. Luckily for him, Robison from Jordan killed the Utah AAA jinx last year. Up till then, all the winners careers ended in high school.

Another young man coming from CA who is not on the list (first name is Mike) also a 6'4"-6'5" middie and is a monster (he has been at camp the last couple of years). Maybe we can return to the days of Dave and Chris Ruekert doing warmups with their shirts off to scare all the women and children.
Tryouts should be very interesting this fall.
