Early in the 3rd period, Damon Conklin-Moragne stole a FSU pass and was off to the races on a fast break. Got the assist on a Lewis Kubitz goal.
FSU answers back on a EMO with Will Patton in the box.
UCSB - 9
FSU - 3

Still in the 3rd period and play has been very sloppy. UCSB has been man down most of the period as one individual has taken over control of the game. Those in SoCal know who I am referring to.
UCSB - 9
FSU - 3
UCSB - 9

At the end of the 3rd quarter:
UCSB - 9
FSU - 5
The two FSU goals both came on EMO opportunities. UCSB has been in the penalty box almost the entire 3rd quarter.

If you're familiar with the territory, you know the answer to that question, Alumni. Virtually all of FSU goals except for the ones in the 1st half, came on EMOs. They definitely have some shooters.
Anyway, once the rain of flags ceased, SB got back on track. With still time reamining in the 4th:
UCSB - 11
FSU - 7

I think that is a statement that reigns true throughout the USLIA.
Come on out to West Michigan. We'll give you some quality officiating!

It's a final:
UCSB - 13
FSU - 8
Play was pretty sharp in 1st half, but very ragged in 2nd half. Will Patton dominated the faceoffs for UCSB. Spread out scoring for UCSB. UCSB with 9 penalties and FSU with 3, 2 of them coming in the last 2 minutes. A check of the stat book showed that FSU was 3 of 9 on EMOs, so the earlier report was incorrect. Play will have to be sharper tomorrow against CSU to be succcessful.

I'm not going down until tomorrow morning. Doing the cell phone relay with Bluevelvet reporting. Thanks for the updates.
