Congratulations to former UCSD standout defensemen and 2006 WCLL Defensive Player of the Year Brandon Hays for being selected to the 23 man active roster of the San Francisco Dragons.

Hay's former teammate, 2006 WCLL Offensive Player of the Year, attackman Nick Dean made it through the entire 3 week training camp before being one of the last players released this weekend.

Still waiting to hear if he will be travelling with the team to Denver for the season opener against the Outlaws this Saturday.

I saw the Dragons practicing at Cherry Island a couple weekends ago.

The thing that was most interesting to me was the size of the players. These guys are HUGE. I think the man-down unit I saw working averaged 6' 4".
