Drinking fun

Postby OAKS on Thu Mar 10, 2005 3:40 pm

I know beer pong is a staple at many institutions of higher learning. Here at tech we decided to build our own table and figured it would be most appreciated by the lax guys around the nation. Of course, we don't condone underage drinking. And yes, that is astroturf. We plan on adding in the GT logo eventually.

Now that is awesome.

We usually just used whoever had the broken closet door laying around, throw that up on something.

Some guys on our team decided to build a bar once. Ended up spending like 500 bucks total between the 3 but after it was done, it was real nice. Started out as a "small" one but the thing ended up being like 6 feet long, weighed so much (took 4 of us just to push it along the ground) and it had a thing of glass around the base of it which they installed lights behind it. Could fit two kegs and a mini-fridge below it. Once I can find the pictures, I will put it up. Sad, sad day when they had to move out and the people next year didn't want it and the apartment people made us dismantle it.

Here is a pic of the bar not totally done but close to it. They did a nice trim around it too.

I know the NU guys made one with The Huskies logo at midfield and players numbers along the edges. Looked pretty cool.

we at iup made a pong table that looked like our stadiums turf field. It was made out of something like 3500 or more bottle caps. then our damn landlord tossed it out. I still want to kill him for it.
champions are made when no one is watching.

Yeah, we've had a bar for a while too... in fact we updated it this past year... I'll try and post some pictures once I find some good ones. We have 'GT Lacrosse - 2004 SELC Champs' painted under some layers of polyurethane. looks pretty sweet. Gotta use my time wisely since I don't have to waste so much practicing. heh.
