If I remember correctly the last 3 years the RMLC #2 was the #3 at national tournament. CSU was #3 before they were ruled out of the tournament 2 years ago. So it is not unlikely that #1 and #2 could be from the same conference.

2004: #2 Colorado State, #3 Colorado
2005: #1 BYU, #3 Colorado State
2006: #1 Colorado State, #3 Colorado
Racism is still alive they just be concealin' it

If BYU and CSU play in the finals, and if it is a close game, I don't believe that CSU will drop. Even if they do, it will only be to #3.

CU is going to have something to say about that, though. Even though CSU seems to be playing their best lacrosse right now, I still think CU will show better in this game than they did in the last one.

If BYU beats CSU, I think it would be fair to say that Oregon moves up to the #2 spot, mostly becuase, although it was a while ago, Oregon did beat both of those teams, and although they had the two one goal losses in Arizona, they have bounced back and played some pretty good lacrosse...either way the top three are seeded, they all could be ranked #1, #2, or #3, and they will all have earned those seeds...I think this is going to be a great tourney...I would rather not see the Arizona teams play one another in the first round, but we never know what will shake out in the next poll...I think any team 1-13 could make a splash in the tourney and maybe make the final four depending on the seeding...this will be the most competitive tourney ever, I think only the top three will be able to even begin to look ahead to the second round..it's going to be a wild ride....

Even, if CSU loses by what ever score I would still keep them ahead of Oregon only because they would have to beat the # 6 team to get there...

No offense to SFU or the PNCLL, but Oregon had a slightly easier road to the AQ then any of the RMLC teams.

You do need to take into account that Oregon is the only team to have beaten BYU and CSU this year. I would not hesitate to move Oregon into #2 and, if both CSU & BYU make the RMLC final, the BYU/CSU loser to #3.
If you ever fall off the Sears Tower, just go real limp, because maybe you'll look like a dummy and people will try to catch you because, hey, free dummy.

Of course... there is no road to an AQ for any RMLC team as they don't have an AQ for that league.

there might not be an AQ, but does there need to be right now? if you win the RMLC, you're going to dallas regardless.

Regardless of AQ or not, would you rather have to beat an unranked team followed by the 24th ranked team to get into nationals or the 6th ranked team followed by the #1 ranked team? Or lets say that you are the U of U and you have to beat the #1 ranked team (who by the way you have never beaten) followed by the #2 or #6 ranked team?
