ROGERS -- Kevin Flatt has always had the idea in the back of his head.
Since moving from Hartford, Conn., two years ago in July, Flatt has always wondered what it would take to get a lacrosse league started in a place that hardly knew what the sport was.
"According to U.S. Lacrosse, there is nothing -- in regards to any kind of a lacrosse league -- in the deep south," Flatt said. "We're kind of excited about that, just to be the first in anything.
"I even have some lacrosse stickers on the back of my car, and people have even stopped me around town to ask me questions about the sport and how to get involved. That's always really cool."
After holding a preliminary meeting with interested kids and parents last October, Flatt has finally gotten enough interested kids -- aged 8- to 14-years-old -- to hold lacrosse practices every Saturday at the Benton County School of Arts in Rogers.
