Keep in mind that they are adding short-stick defensive midfield to the list, so that will recognize some very important role-players. I will start by naming Tommy Marquez from Santa Clara, he played a big role in our defense and our clearing packages.

You're really going to put Pringle up as Goalie of the Year again?
Why cause he won it all the other years? Cause he has always had a great defense in front of him?
Have you really ever seen him play (and get caught in his chair?) or are you going on what you are supposed to say? Word on the street is that when he dances with the big boys in scrimmages and what not up north, he is completely out of his league.
He is definitely good, but everybody needs to take it easy. To think he could become the first four time, first teamer, with the unbelievably outstanding history of goalies that the WCLL has had...something really ain't right. It's just ridiculous.
And before my friends start coming out of the wood work here, relax. I said he is good, but he might not even be in the top 5 goalies to play at his own school in the last 12-15 years. True story. I would think that someone with that many accolades, should at least be considered top 2 at his own school. And if you haven't seen the great Sonoma goalies from the last 12-15 years, don't start trying to talk about what you don't know in this forum.
There are several average teams this year that had incredible goalies; but alas, playing goalie is like pitching in baseball, all anyone looks at is wins and losses (or in the case of the WCLL, your ability to attend Sonoma), compared to your ability to make a save (for analogy purposes, your ERA).
I wasn't really blown away by anyone this year (the WCLL's talent definitely was in it's offensive players) but if I had to vote for someone, and granted I only saw him play once, Cal's goalie is pretty good.
Doesn't Chico have a really good goalie this year? If it is who I think it is, that kid is a stud.
P.S. Oh, and I can't put this kid up cause I coached him the previous three years, but Riordan called Pomerantz from UCSD the best that he saw this year. I think Hopkin's all-time leading attackman might know a thing or two about a good goalie when he sees one.

Had a talk with the above mentioned former best goalies at ssu and they agree that W.P. is one of the best if not the best goalie coming out of ssu. When was the last time D-Train saw ssu play?

It took me going on and on and on, to summarize what you said in one phrase CatLax man. Well said...
And I have only seen tape of Sonoma from this year. Oregon and SDSU. Why am I missing something "LIVE" this year, that would surprise me from years past? Did he grow or something?

"if not the best goalie coming out of ssu."
Now I know your just making that up to defend him! I would expect nothing less, you show that you are a good friend and supporter of him.
But let's keep it real, that school has had some unreal goalies, plus, everyone that has ever worn Noma blue knows of the great, the ambidextrous Pat Ferguson. Let me know that next time you see a goalie who can do that. Cause I will pay money right now to fly and see someone who is that good in the cage, during a game, with either hand. SICK! That man could play on any level in college, right now, probably 20 years from now.
