What JP said is correct, the feedback was overwhelming to add a rest day for Division B play.

Additionally, the decision was made over a year ago to highlight the semifinal games, both Div A & B, by standing them on their own, and not putting any games up against them. In order to do this, we had to move consolation games off of Friday completely. We didn't want the stadium games to compete with a second consolation match outside, which also meant renting the complex fields an additional day, and splitting our staffing resources. Moving those additional games off Friday eats a lot of time and field resources. There just aren't enough hours in the day and available fields to run that schedule without adding the day. Otherwise, it would mean the elimination of at least one round of consolation games, which more people would object to than the additional day.

We actually wanted to do this last year as well, but the scheduling with women's games and USL prevented it coming to fruition.

whats the rationale behind the b division bracket system. shouldn't the number 1 play the winner of 8/9 number two play the winner of 7/10 3 gets the winner of 6/11 and 4 gets the winner of 5/12?

doesn't that make the most sense.

someone please explian this.

That is how the schedule is set up. #1 seed plays the winner of the 8/9 game and so on. Where does it state different?

Sorry about that, there has been some confusion regarding the posted schedule. You are correct though, the #1 seed plays 8/9 winner, etc. Once the seeds are set, the brackets will be posted again.
