Boy needs 30 stitches after being struck on sideline

FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- A 4-year-old boy who was inadvertently blitzed by a college football player during a game has 30 stitches in his head, but he's recovering well, his father said Tuesday.

"It was kind of scary 'cause I got bonked by the football. It kind of hurted." It was the spring youth football festival at Colorado State on Saturday, and Caden Thomas was wandering along the sidelines with his father during the team's intrasquad game. They were near the end zone when wide receiver George Hill, trying to catch a touchdown pass, didn't see the boy in time and crashed into him.

The boy was about 10 yards away from his dad.

Glad that the 4 year old boy is okay, but that is really, really scary to see that kid wandering near the end zone eventhough his dad was several yards away. After googling, I found some interesting verbs being used by seveal news sources in describing the inadvertent hit the boy got:

"crashes," "tackled," "blitzed," and "collides."

Probably the hardest any CSU football player will hit anyone all year . . . Glad he's okay, obviously.

I was shocked when i saw this. It was a freak accident, the kid was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Glad the kid is ok though. But i feel bad for the player also, i guarantee that he will be getting his lions share of crap for the rest of his time at CSU.

Who's going to have a worse record the CSU squad or the U of Minnesota....

Im going with the gophers....all they do is choke, but hey, at least the CSU player made contact...(unlike the gopher D in the second half of this years bowl game...)
