I hear a lot of interesting things on this post so far, and all of you have pretty good points..There are a few teams that have hurt themselves in the past few weeks and a few that have helped themselves...
Here is my top 16 as it stands right now...:
1. BYU
2. CSU
3. Oregon
4. Michigan (no one else belongs here)
5. Sonoma( have not beaten anyone, no bad losses)
6. Arizona (have beaten good teams only one bad loss)
7. Colorado (beaten a lot of good teams, lost their 3 lot 4)
8. ASU (have quality wins, lost a couple of tough ones on the road)
9. UCSB ( quality win against ASU,a few bad losses on the resume)
10. UMD (only one bad loss...no quality wins, LU and Poly are not quality anymore)
11. Texas A&M (quality win, no bad losses)
12. Georgia (won tea SELC)
13. Lindenwood (going to win GRLC)
14. Florida (tough loss in final, good win over FSU)
15. Boston College (beat NU)
16. Northeastern (solid win early in the year, lost to BC)
That is the way that I think it should go...all of this will start to sort itself out when the tourney's are done...I think the Top ten should stay the top ten regardless of where they are placed...I don't think any teams outside it deserve a spot in there...
of course...that is just my opinion...I could be wrong
What will the next Division A Poll look like?

i agree with the beast but switch ucsb and noma and switch asu and umd. what has noma done to lose their spot? no losses, hence keep the satus quo. As for asu, their loss to ucsb was pretty close, i heard that if there was another five minutes, an epic comeback was eminent. Really what has umd done to deserve a five spot besides lose close ones to top teams?

I still don't understand how you have Michigan ranked 4th. They have lost two of their last three games and three of their last five. The WCLL and RMLC both play almost as difficult schedules in their conference playoffs than they schedule for the entire year. I also think Arizona should be ranked over ASU.

I don't understand what Sonoma had done this year to deserve a top 6 ranking. They lost to Oregon, BYU, and CSU. Their highest ranked wins are against #15 Cal Poly twice. Their other wins against ranked opponents were #19 Va Tech and #23 Georgia Tech, and they weren't the kind of victories to brag about. We will see how deserving of their ranking they are when they play Arizona and then UCSB/Cal.
As far as the ASU/UCSB game goes, I was there. There was no epic comeback in store for ASU. If they could have played another four quarters and ASU would still not have won the game. They were completely demoralized and struggled throughout the game to get the ball into their half of the field. Their defense is a complete struggle, and I can tell you they will be (or should be) spending the next few weeks leading up to Dallas working on that. I have said in previous posts that their offense is powerful and they have a great coach, so I'm not trying to sound mean.

I am already changing my mind.
1-4 are pretty much agreed on. BYU, CSU, Oregon, Colorado.
Arizona
Wins: Chapman, #13 Utah, #25 Illinois, #14 Lindenwood, #16 TAMU, #24 Claremont, #4 ASU
Loses: #1 BYU, #9 NE, #6 Colorado, #3 Oregon
UCSB
Wins: #15 Cal Poly, #24 Claremont, #21 BC, #6 Colorado, #4 ASU
Loses: #1 BYU, #13 Utah, #2 CSU, Chapman
5 and 6
ASU
Wins: #13 Utah, Chapman, #16 TAMU, #3 Oregon, #5 Michigan
Loses: #1 BYU, #6 Colorado, #12 U of A, #10 UCSB
Michigan (Wins: FSU, Florida, Lindenwood, Michigan State: Loses BYU, CSU, ASU)
SSU (Wins: Poly twice, VT, and GT: Lost to 1,2 and 3)
UMD (only wins Linenwood and Poly: Lost to 1,2 and Utah)
7, 8, 9, 10

I think they are weighing the TAMU game pretty heavily.
I think Beating:
#12 U of A
#4 ASU
#3 Oregon in ONE weekend (4 days) is pretty amazing
Other Wins = #13 Utah.
Loses: #16 TAMU, #10 UCSB, #1 BYU, #2 CSU

well...lets spell it out...UMD is the only team this year to play the 1 and 2 teams in the country to one goal games (with the exception of the Ducks who pulled out two W's and Sonoma v. BYU and LU v CSU)...not losses that they came back in, but hard fought battles, with a chance to tie in the final minute or so....here are some numbers for you to look at....
Sonoma - lost both - CSU 17-7 BYU 9 -8
Oregon - won both
ASU - lost one - BYU 20 -5 (no CSU)
Arizona - lost one - BYU 14 -7 (no CSU)
Colorado - lost both - BYU 14 -10 CSU 13 - 5
UCSB - lost both - BYU 15- 4 CSU 8 - 3
Michigan - lost both - BYU 15- 9 CSU 17 -10
Lindenwood - lost one - CSU 8 -7
UMD - lost both - BYU 9-8 , CSU 8 - 7
Now im not advocating for a top 3 or 4 ranking, but they do deserve the top 8 or higher.... i understand, people havent seen them play...but to say they deserve a lower rank than 8 - HA!
1. BYU
2. CSU
3. Oregon
4. Colorado
5. Zona
6. Michigan
7. UMD (COULD FLOP WITH UCSB)
8. UCSB (COULD FLOP WITH UMD)
9. ASU
10. NOMA

The A&M loss was in the first two games of the year, I think that they have shown that they aren't that team any more.
Colorado vs. Top 25
4-4, (two wins over the #27 and #28 as well)
I think that this is a top 5 team
Racism is still alive they just be concealin' it

People keep making arguments about losses/wins teams had at the beginning of February and in March. Most recent polls have nothing to do with those games. It is a ranking of the teams as they are playing right now. Losses earlier in the season were accounted for in earlier polls.

It's time for a little love for UCSB from the pollsters. Quality wins over ASU, Cal and Zona, who completely dominated Sonoma, should put them somewhere in the top 5. They've only lost ONE game at sea level all season. That was against Chapman and they let down probably because they knew it wouldn't count toward the WCLL. The Gauchos showed that championship experience counts for a lot in post-season play.
I agree with WestCoast that the polls need to reflect what a teams playing level is now.

I don't know if you saw that game, but Chapman made them look foolish. That has always been a rivalry game, and it was for the LA division title. To make a statement like that is pretty bogus. That is like saying they would let down in any of their out of conference games, because it does not matter within the context of WCLL. I guess Utah got "lucky" when they beat them by 3 goals. Why diminish the other teams that beat them this year by making those statements. Altitude? They beat Colorado at altitude.
With that said, big wins over Arizona and ASU show they can play. Like any other games this year, sometimes you eat the bar, and sometimes, well, the bar eats you...

There's no question that the Gauchos embarrassed themselves against Chapman but nonetheless they did know that the game wouldn't count against them because of Chapman eligibility problem. Any team can lose on any given day. My only point is that UCSB has been underrated in the polls all season. I'm not trying to diminish any other teams I'm just supporting mine.
