UMLL DIVISION A TOURNAMENT SEEDING

UMLL DIVISION A TOURNAMENT SEEDING

Postby Rob Graff on Mon Apr 23, 2007 10:49 am

BUT FIRST, the weather forecast as of Monday AM from weather .com
Fri Apr 27 Partly Cloudy
69°/49°
Sat Apr 28 Partly Cloudy
73°/55°
Sun Apr 29 Mostly Sunny
68°/48°

1. UMD 7-0
2. UofM 6-1
3. St. O 5-2
4. ISU - 2-5
5. Marquette 2-5
6. Mankato 2-5
7. SCSU 2-5
8. UWSP - not participating.

4 teams are 2-5. Head to head does not define the order (i.e. no one team has beaten all others.)

Next - goals allowed in head to head games - least goals is highest seed.

ISU let in 14 (combined) v. Marq/MSU/SCSU --Marquette let in 23 (combined) v. SCSU/ISU/MSU, Mankato let in 24 and SCSU let in 28.

Under this scenario SCSU is out and other 3 are in, in the order listed above.

Game 5 Division A Quarterfinal Friday, April 27, 2007 5:00 PM #4A vs #5A
Game 6 Division A Quarterfinal Friday, April 27, 2007 5:00 PM #3A vs #6A

Wow, for once our conference playoffs isnt going to be played in Febuary weather. Last years weather blew, litterally.

Oh, and what fields are we playing on? Same ones as last year? Championship game in the stadium?

2002 - TERRIBLE weather, by the end of the games on Saturday, it was below 30 degrees and sleeting with very high wind, field was entirely under snow. Championship game moved indoors to stillwater

2003 - EXCELLENT weather, sunny and warm!

2004 - EXCELLENT weather, sunny and warm!

2005 - poor weather, 35-40 degrees and raining.

2006 - poor weather, but not as bad as 2005. Not quite as cold and less rain.

2007 - ??? Hopefully we can keep up this nice weather!

Fields - A fields.

No stadium or "bowl" due to NSC booking those before contacting us.

I believe 2001 was a windy weekend but the championship game temps were in the low 60's.

Rob

At least you'll be able to sit by the field instead of 20 yards away or in the stadium seating area on the other side of the track.
