im thinkin about getting a softball league started for the summer. have schools from the UMLL represented by their teams, i figure some schools can have two teams if they want and have enough guys. i havent given any thought as to where we would potentially play, i just thought about takin everyones temperature (rectally of course) first.
so what do you guys think?

I wonder how many colleges would be represented. maybe there could be some teams that represent different high schools as well.

thats an idea. i figured all you need is like 8 teams minimum. and im sure the U of M could come up with two teams, i know we could at st thomas. then a team from duluth, carelton, bethel, SCSU, st olaf, st johns. and teams like ISU, dordt, moorhead, they might even have enough guys who call the cities home for the summer.

Maybe a team of the coaches for all these teams play together as well against everyone else??? Just a thought...

thats a bomb idea, horn. a coaches team, that could be done easily.
i just kinda figured we would do it somewhere in the cities here. i think more guys live in the twin cities than any other area, so i would probably just try and find a field we could get cheap every thursday night or somethin. maybe one of the suburbs, or in minneapolis or st paul. como park might not be a bad idea, they have two fields and its real easy to get to.

Too bad Marquette is 5 hours away. Otherwise I would play in a heartbeat. It is probably a good thing. If any of you got to see me play softball, you might wonder how I ever was able to pick up a lacrosse stick
Have fun this summer playing. Go Coaches Team! (be sure to stretch before the game, we aren't all as young as our body thinks it is )

Great idea, but "not too competitive" are you kidding. I think it's a great idea for alumni to get back together and play some slow pitch, but competitive is hardwired into all of our DNA. I'd hate to see the headline "Lacrosse Rivalry Erupts during Softball Game." I'm sure i'm not the only one thats thought about it. Go coaches team!!
