New Under Armour cleats

Postby laxer9 on Wed Jun 21, 2006 1:05 pm

Under Armour recently came out with new cleats. I'm considering getting a pair and I was just wondering if anyone has them and likes or dislikes them.

Someone from Under Armour forgot to review what Reebok has done in the past few years or hired someone from Reebok to develop their shoes. I would be a little nervous if I have stocks in Under Armour. These shoes are either going to sell well because of the UA Brand or will be at your discount bargain bin at your favorite athletic retailer.

I like underarmour, especially the heat gear, it makes a big difference in the military especially with a full combat load. Personally I am going to stick with my addidas screw-in cleats, but I would be willing to bet people will be buying these just for the name. I gotta agree with Laxdude, they look like recent Reebok cleats!

So far so good. I have the Speed Metal Detachable Lows. I've used them in two tournament weekends this summer.

Pros: They Feel more durable and lighter than the Warrior New Balances

Cons: For the low-top version the tongue is too big and looks strange

That's all I got having only used them in 6 games.

I personally own the UA Mid D's, and I will also say that they are the most comfortable cleats I have ever owned. It's like playing in slippers that hold your foot in place.... Amazing Traction!!! I have them in White/Orange

I have the metal speed low molded cleats. As a former football player I was always a mid/high screw-in type of guy, but I have to say I feel a lot faster in the low cuts and I love the molded cleats. They are great on field turf and pretty good on grass too.

As far as looks go, I have them in all black and they look pretty B.A. with black socks.
