It looks like Wheaton, Western Illinois, and Cornell are battling it out for the #5 seed.

The UMR v. SLU game will determine who gets the #6 seed.

Creighton is only the number 4 seed if they defeat South Dakota. This game was cancelled due to weather earlier in the season.

I thought that was a given. So this is what its going to look like:

Harding and Augustana have first round byes.

Dordt will play either Wheaton, Western Illi, or Cornell

Creighton will play either Rolla or SLU.

Does anyone know the times and days of each game?

What is the next criteria if: ISU beats MSU, MSU beats Mizzou, and Mizzou has already beaten ISU.

just curious, not that it really matters too much, but:

How is the determination made between 1,2.......3,4.....5,6? I assume its based on common opponents, but what if there are none?

I'm sure it would go to league records after conference records, then strength of wins.

Wheaton is in position to procur the #5 seed. SLU/UMR will take #6. Dordt will play SLU/Rolla.

As a side note, when the playoffs begin each round will reseed to put the highest remaining seed against the lowest remaining seed.

Are you sure about this? I thought that we voted against this at the last conference meeting.

I think you are right. We need to get updated bylaws out more aggressively.

Sorry, I did not see this.

In the event of a tie, the first tiebreaker shall be the results of head-to-head competition between the two teams during the current regular season (in the game that was determined to count toward the rankings). If this does not produce a solution (due to more than two teams being tied or any other reason), the second tiebreaker shall be overall goal-differential in required GRLC play during the current regular season. Plus or minus goal differentials in excess of 8 shall not count towards the tiebreaker for more than 8 goals. The third tiebreaker shall be a coin flip, with the Vice Commissioner flipping the coin in the presence of at least one other Executive Board member from a different school present.

Mizzou (2-2)
goal-differential (-5)
Illinois - 8, Lindenwood - 8, Iowa +8, Illinois State +3
Games left - Missouri State , Kansas, Kansas State

Missouri State (3-2)
goal-differential (0)
Illinois -7, Lindenwood -8, Iowa +4, Kansas +3, Kansas State +8
Games left - Mizzou & Illinois State

Illinois State (3-2)
goal-differential (+16)
Mizzou -3, Illinois -5, Iowa +8, Kansas +8, Kansas State +8
Games left - Missouri State & Lindenwood

That's just plain funny from the outside, but would suck to have your playoff chances be determined by dumb luck.
