Merger Talk

Postby JW on Tue Apr 17, 2007 1:10 pm

As a player of one of the Fluorishing Division B teams from 2001-2006 UTA was at one point shooting for the goal of moving into the A division. We at one point were doing well in recruiting (although had a top recruits fall through) and in 2004, our coaches and our administration looked toward 2006 as the year that we would move into the A Division.

Now UTA as a team does not exist.

Not saying that it can't be done, and you might be ready, however you must prove something not only to yourselves, but to the conference that you are ready.

Good luck Ole Miss, it is kinda cool that we are attracting schools outside of the current sphere of membership.

I see

We have the coaching staff, the players, budget, and a top recruiting class

This was our year to prove ourselves...and I felt we did a good job

I guess my point was, yes this year you may be ready, but the question is will the program still exist 3-5 years from now.

I don't doubt that you may be ready to compete as well as some other programs, just giving you a perspective from a team I was a part of that had the same aspirations.

I wish you luck in the future of your team.

I guess the Key is patience..

Present a strong case to the League and you may get your shot to show what you can do in A

I might have missed this previously, but why is Ole Miss dying to play in the LSA rather than the SELC? Don't get me wrong, I think it's great. Just curious.

The SELC Executive Board considers applications each Summer.

Where can Ole Miss pick up and application for the LSA?

When is the league meeting and where?

Each team inputs their own stats.

I think Baylor already has. Not sure about Tech. You can check at www.mcla.us
