Not the same as the engineering teacher above, but it is a good read about this tragedy and a little bit of Heroism despite it.

Virginia Tech's Collegiate Times server is down, but it is being backed up by College Media. In addition to that, a newspaper called Roanoke News has the partial list of the victims as of 7:18 am. The Collegiate Times and the Roanoke News both have the same list. On that list are two professors killed.

My heart and prayers go to the parents as it would not be easy on them.

The UMD Men's lacrosse program grieves with the VT program and sends its condolances on their terrible loss.

If there is a location where we can send flowers or a charity to where a donation can be made, we would appreciate that information.

This is from the Jerusalem Post about Liviu Librescu who threw himself in front of the assailant to save students:

Authorities identified the deceased shooter in yesterday's Virginia Tech massacre as Cho Seung-Hui, 23, a South Korean native in U.S. as a resident alien. His residency was in Centreville and he was staying at the Harper residence hall on Tech's campus.

No possible motive was disclosed.

"The only thing that we know about him is that he was a loner and we are having difficulty finding information" about him, university spokesman Larry Hincker said.

Authorities said they are not releasing names of the victims until all have been identified.

Just sent off an email to one of their officers. If I hear back on Coach Nachlas' status, I'll let everyone know.
