What will the 4/18 division b poll look like?

Who's at the top of the pile from 5-12? In my eyes, it isn't UVSC, UNC, or Mont. State. It's not secret, I don't see Harding as the number 6 team & Emory is a little bit (not much) suspect to me after that loss to Stone Hill. That Emory game really threw me off, I didn't expect that outcome & would have bet against it. Those teams are still highly ranked & could slide into that 4th spot because the other voters don't seem to see it the way that I do, & there's also WWU & Montana. Ft. Lewis & Calvin are trying to creep into the top 10, anyway you look at it, unless there is an upset by a team outside of the top 12 in the conference tournament, we'll be pretty close to sending the top 12 teams in the B.

agreed, but all it takes is for one team to fall and then this whole poll can get turned on its head

Heres How I see it:
1.SJU
2.Westminster
3.UST
4.UVSC
5.Dayton
6.Harding
7.Montana
8.UNC
9.Emory
10.Western Washington
I'm sorry, but i just can't see montana jumping up to 5, although the two wins were very very impressive. Even so, this seems most reasonable.

I just can't keep UVSC at #4 after they lost to both Western Washington and Fort Lewis in the last 3 weeks. They did have an impressive win against Montana - so you can certainly argue them ahead of the Grizz. . .
But you can't keep teams ahead of others just because they beat the other team. . .Montana beat Western Washington who beat UVSC who beat Montana. . .it's messy, but I give more weight to what has happened most recently. . . and I like Dayton at 4 with Montana at 5 with what they have done in the past two weekends. Not only are the teams they beat impressive, but they were comfortable wins. . .by 21, 5 and 7 this weekend.

I did not know they lost to WWU. The only way i would change it is to drop UVSC to 10 and move everybody up a spot. Since dayton is still undefeated (regardless of the strength of schedule), and Harding has not lost since UST, I don't see them moving under any other team.

Fort Lewis is one of the hottest teams in the B division right now. Like Montana, they seem to be playing their best lacrosse at the right time.
The RMLC B division tournament is definitely going to be worth the price of admission. You have arguably 5 of the top 10-12 teams battling for the at-large bid to nationals. . .there will be some great lacrosse for certain.

I had once heard from a pollster that they do not look at the games between A/B teams when they are factoring in where a team goes. Is this true of most pollsters?

I would really hope not. Pollsters I would hope use every piece of information at their disposal to decide on rankings

I use everything I can. . .for the good or the bad of it. . .fair or not. But I tend not to punish teams that play really tough schedules. . .
For example, D-II NDNU beating Westminster 22-2 does not affect their ranking in my mind. . .them beating Utah is absolutely huge in my decision making. That win over Utah is just as big as St. John's huge win over St. Thomas. I had Westminster at #1 and St. John's as #2 in the last poll, and had Westminster not had that huge win, the big win by the Johnnies might have allowed them to vault Westminster.
So, in short, I use every single game I can to do my poll. . .excluding fall-ball of course, which to me means absolutely nothing.

If you discount the NDNU game, then you don't use every single game. Had Westminster lost by 20 to Utah would you have counted it or not? Had Westminster beat NDNU, would you have counted it? If you say you use EVERY game, then use EVERY game.

I agree with laxguru.
The win against Utah was huge, but the loss against UC Davis was also a big loss. How did your polls get affected by the loss to UC Davis? It seems like a loss would not do anything to you but a win would do everything. This is why there is less and less A/B games because now it looks like Utah will not make it to the playoffs.
The NDNU team does not count for much if anything. They are a very good team and should not be looked at because they are a NCAA team I believe.

I think Salem State will break the top 25. They recieved 64 votes last poll and have won 4 games since, 2 conference games and 2 other games against division A teams. They have also not recorded any losses since.
