Duel in the Desert

If any player on either one of these teams use people's comments on this board for motivation then they shouldn't be on the field tonight; especially well thought out posts by fans at 4:30 in the morning.

We are very optimistic and excited about GCU’s future lacrosse team,” said Head Coach Adam Marshall. “We have great players in Arizona who don’t get the opportunity to be seen by recruiters because this state hasn’t been seen as a lacrosse powerhouse. This program will help to change that."

I am pretty sure Coach Marshall was referring to the fact that the Arizona high school talent pool is not considered a powerhouse. Since ASU and U of A have not historically recruited, it is fair to say that kids in AZ are not actively being recruited during their HS games.

Adam is very aware of ASU and U of A. (He is aware of anything going on with lacrosse in AZ.) He is at every ASU game, even the yawners, and if he weren't coaching a top HS team, he would probably be down in Tucson watching games also.

I know there are a lot of talented players in Arizona. The attending their games part is hard to work out.

All in favor of banning NoRope for a year, sound off

Postby dtrain34 on Tue Apr 17, 2007 9:49 pm

It has been a long time my friends, a long time indeed....

I just thought I would come out of retirement to compliment NoRope for taking the crown as "Biggest Jumbo Idiot Poster" for the year (anyone who has ever used these boards will know the history of Jumbo...)

I always like when the unskilled youngin's come on here and say things like (to paraphrase) "if you need what some one says on the message board to inspire you, you shouldn't be playing." What rationale exists in people like NoRope's head ....how can they say this, and not see how completely moronic and hypocritical it is to make asinine predictions on these same message boards?

NoRope, you have no game son. You and your fellow defensemen are slow-footed and moderately skilled. You have a couple of very skilled offensive players and are fortunate enough to be coached by a great coach; who is a great guy and was a great player, and who you owe all of your success to. You should respect the efforts that he has made, and learn to play a little bit better before you run your mouth (against anyone, particularly your biggest rival)

And speaking of running your mouth at someone, you don't want to dance with Mr. Smith kid...you aren't even good enough to watch him play, let alone step on to a field or talk to him about lacrosse.

NoRope, I wish you well at the house I helped build this week. The Gauchos have only lost one home play-off game in the 40 year history of the program..........do you really think you have enough poise and class to make it two? I know that Hop will have you ready, do yourself a favor and tell your teammates to listen to him this week, so that you don't let in almost 20 goals again.

tah, tah for now.

The Return of The King,

DTRAIN

DTRAIN

First Jumbo makes an appearance over in the RMLC forum and now Dtrain is resurrected from some cyberspace mausoleum where his ashes were on display... I am having flashbacks of Candy and Warner making 40 saves on my team in the Lou.

I've said it before - It ain't easy being cheesey.

And your right I don't play on the team, thanks for thinking of me though.

Prediction:
ASU - 28
South American Cowboys - 2

Wow, a well thought out and hilarious retort.

The first line is a catch phrase of a cartoon, fried cheese spokesman. The 2nd line is either a complete lie or you are a huge ASU lurcher (not sure which is worse. By the way, when you are going to create a fake alias and say that you are not on the team, you might want to post a few times before and not comment right after it). And the third.....that speaks for itself.

GetARope, you are the reason that people like Dane Cook, Carrot Top, Paula Poundstone, and Carlos Mencia have careers. And before you start Chester Cheetah, let me stop you, they are all hacks or prop comics and they are not funny.

Do us all a favor, get a ShortRope, and jump off of the roof of one of the Mystic Tans I am sure that you frequent quite often.
