Ok so assuming the PCLL and LSA have lost their AQ, Here are the first round matchups if the tournament started today.
1. St. Thomas (AQ - UMLL)
12. AQ - Winner WCLL (no team ranked)
2. St. Johns (At Large)
11. Montana (At Large)
3. Westminster (AQ - RMLC)
10. Montana State (At Large)
4. Utah Valley State (At Large)
9. Western Washington (AQ - PNCLL)
5. Dayton (AQ - CCLA)
8. Emory (AQ - SELC)
6. Harding (AQ - GRLC)
7. Northern Colorado (At Large)
The LSA and PCLL would have no representatives at nationals.

I believe what you're referring to is the fact that they could not afford to make the trip, so they dropped out of the national tourney. The LSA div. B has 6 teams, but one is an A team playing down. So they don't have an AQ bid.
8-2, not 7-4

But, I thought the top 4 teams get byes the first day of the tourney.

I thought this was how the B division tourney was setup last year, but I could be wrong if they had changed it. 2-PNCLL, 2-UMLL, 4-RMLC,1-SELC, 1-CCLA, 1-GRLC, 1-WCLL

Those seedings are not how the B tournament went last year... the top 4 teams received a bye in the first round. Unless this has changed....
Secondly Riley, check your map for "on our doorstep"... our closest conference game is 5 1/2 hours away, we got UVSC to come to us this year, but only because we went there last year. My point was that to be the best you have to at least play the best. Also, the situation with Salem State last year (hence when I said last year) is what I was referring to... check your facts there too, they didn't make the trip last year because of money, it was because their school didn't support the trip.

I forgot that there were the first round byes, sorry I have been focusing on the A tournament.
There should be 5 At Large this year - LSA lost theirs (supposedly) due to only having 5 teams in their B. PCLL lost theirs since Salem did not attend last year's tournament. That makes 5 with the original 3 at large bids added to the two that conferences lost.

Every travel we make is at least 5 hours. That is the door step for us. Think about how much it costs us to travel to Minnesota. We could never afford to get out to you guys. There's a huge difference between 5 and 15. Secondly, just because you play teams near you that just so happen to be ranked, it doesn't mean teams that don't play them aren't any good. By the way, you only play six top 25 games, and two are against the same team. Plus, you have to play at least 3 of them since they're in your conference. Last of all, to be the best, you have to beat the best.

i think the bottom line is most teams in B League travel a lot to play games. UST drove to Missouri this year to play Harding and Calvin, Creighton drove up to see us, we have to drive to North Dakota to play UND and NDSU, etc... we regularly play three games in a weekend, and up to 8 games in two weeks. it is the nature of the beast in club lacrosse. good luck to everyone in their respective league tournaments, hope to see you all in dallas.
