In fact, the U had possesion the entire first quarter (with the exception of 2 UST fast breaks) and no goals to show for it! UofM shooting was really atrocious, hitting the goalie numerous times on point blank and 6-10 yard shoots. UST to their credit finished their opportunities at a pretty high percentage.

I do think the Gophs are better than that game showed, but man it was painful to watch.

Sure the UST vs. the U game was a bit sloppy, but remember:

"All you need to do to win is a do a few ordinary things exceptionally well"
-John Gagliardi

I also had the chance to watch the game. Was it UST's prettiest win of the year? Nope, but at the end of the day they weathered the storm and managed to do what they needed to do to earn a victory. I think their ability to finish was the difference. That and their Defense held throughout. It was a very exciting game, and both teams were obviously very excitable early on which made for a lot of ups and downs. Very fun to watch.

Hats off the the U for their ability to posses and ride. Looking forward to hopefully catching the U vs. UMD game this weekend. Good luck to all.

The current weather forecast is for it to be 25 deg. F, with 23 mph winds, yielding a wind chill of 10 F at noon on Saturday. And it is supposed to snow.

Because avoiding frostbite is a good idea, I've arranged for the UMD v. UofM game to be moved to the Stillwater Dome.

SAME DAY BUT....

The teams may warm up beginning at 1pm,

Face off at 1:45.

Minnesota vs. SCSU has been moved back to 11PM.

Apparently there was a scheduling conflict with the Husky Dome.

Thanks very much to the officials, for their willingness to be flexible and make the midnight madness possible.

Thanks also to my corporate master, who will get limited production out of me Thursday.

Come on Adam - isn't that what Diet Mountain Dew (or any other caffeinated beverage of your choice) is for?
