So with the dropping out of Linfield this year I was wondering if anyone had any ideas how the conferences would play out next year? Does anyone know of any new teams thinking about joining by next year? If anyone has any knowledge about what is going to happen in the coming year I would love the insight.

Well I don't know if I can make this a great thread...but I know Pacific University (not University of Pacific in Cali) in Forest Grove has a team forming and was looking to play us in a scrimmage after our season. Let's hope they can attempt to field a team and let's hope some more schools continue to cultivate the game. I don't know at what point it would be feasible, but Eastern Oregon, Eastern Washington, Idaho State, Seattle U. (I know there has already been something going on here), Evergreen State again even? can all maybe field teams which would be awesome.

In my mind I think it's a much more fun problem of dealing with too many schools than too few. And I'm also confident that we haven't seen the last of those pesky Wildcats in McMinnville...

Is it bad that I'm one of two people originally trying to start a team at Pacific U and i didnt know that we were looking to scrimage Willamette?? Ha, anyways a few guys here at Pacific are clinging on to any hope that we can become a club here. We are having to jump through the hoops to try and get money from our atheletic department and clubs committee. We have several guys with sticks that throw around regularly, including a couple d-poles and a goal stick (no other gear cept couple pairs of gloves) but we are finding that even though people say they are interested, getting them out and throwing is another story.

Anyways though, we got a coach, Sam Sadtler, who is League advisor of PNCLL, and he is working with the handful of guys that have made the commitment. He has loads of lacrosse background including playing at Maryland. We are taking the steps, and hopefully we can get something rolling and see our name on the league website eventually.

FYI: Sam Sadtler was instrumental in founding the organization that has evolved into the MCLA - hence the Sam Sadtler Service Award.

The Pocatello and Idaho Falls area are just starting to play high school ball. Give those kids a couple of years to get to Idaho State, and we might finally have a stop between Boise/Caldwell and Missoula.
