Saturday March 31
Dordt 6 Creighton 3
Sunday April 1
Creighton 14 Nebraska Omaha 3
One Dordt player suffered a lower arm fracture as a result of a freak 3 man collision. We hope he will be ok. It was a scary moment and thankfully the trainer/EMT were there to respond.

From Wild Wheaton (first time those two have been put side by side)
Wheaton 11
Lake Forest 1 Final(?)
After a late start (15-20 mins due to travel difficulties), Wheaton started slow. The penalty flags started flying in the 2nd quarter as Lake Forest started down the road to a dozen or sow penalties (mostly personal, I don't have the exact count, Wheaton logged only a single penalty for slashing).
After with a few shoving matches between players in the first half, the game play got more and more physical throughout the course of the second. Penalty flags didn't reign the game play in as a number of 3rd and 4th quarter penalties (4 or so each quarter) increased the frustration from Lake Forest's coach and players. The heavy penalties culminated in an unsportsmanlike conduct flag against LF's coach and his ejection after he continued to argue with the refs (just over 4 mins left in the game).
At this point Lake Forest's coach called his team off the field and ended the game.
I don't know how this will go down on the books, but it was a very physical game and certainly unlike anything I have ever seen in 10 years of being involved in the sport of lacrosse.

I am not a part of the Wheaton Lacrosse team nor do I speak for or represent them.

Who is Lake Forest and why should I care?
Sorry, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed today.

I am wondering what is the protocol for a game where the team leaves the field with 4 mins. left when losing 11-1. Are the statistics still to be entered as they were scored or does the game go down as a 1-0 forfeit?
For those wondering why Lake Forest is relevant, they are a team in Chicago that were looking to enter into the GRLC-B in the fall. Although they do have players, uniforms and gear, most of their players were physical football players who had no control of their sticks. With their game ending action to leave I would highly recommend that they would not be admitted into the conference in the fall.
I know that Augustana played Lake Forest and Western was looking to get a game in sometime this spring. I would be very careful and look out for your player's safety if encountering Lake Forest in the near future.

Lake Forest had a Div III lacrosse team but dropped it several years back. Erin Quinn was a lacrosse coach there before returning to Middlebury to win several national titles. I have heard rumors that one of the football coaches has resurrected the lacrosse team to aid in off season conditioning for football. I hope it turns into more than that.

that's sounds sad. It's teams like these that make this league and sport look like nothing but a bunch of goons

We played Lake Forest as well two weeks ago. Their coach, Jim Catanzaro, is also the defensive coord for their football team. He has recruited a bunch of his football players to play lacrosse. They have a long way to go but present yet another team that in a year or two could apply for admittance to the GRLC B Division. I have had several conversations with Jim and he and his administration want to join the GRLC. The GLLL is not something they are interested in.
I would agree that their lack of knowledge of the game and skill is something to be aware of when scheduling against them but they are another team to look to for games. Wheaton is the closest team we have to Chicago. The rest of the schools (Northwestern, U of Chicago, Loyola, etc...) are GLLL members. I have spoken with Mosher about Lake Forest and he has been in contact with them regarding the their future GRLC plans.

Anyone know what the seeding for playoffs is yet, or better yet, who is in playoffs yet? I know i probably could look up all the games, but that seems like a lot of work
