Ok.... somebody else needs to win in football next year. I'm tired of seeing the Gators celebrate.
P.S. Noah's mom is ready for primetime.
Congrats to Florida.

More like "Thanks for nothing Florida". I needed Ohio to win to take my facebook group's pool and claim second in the pool at the bar I work at. Now it will be close to see if I make the money. That is, if there were money involved. Because I would never participate in illegal gambling...

3 hardest days of work i have ever had in my life are 4/4/06, 1/9/07, 4/3/07 why o why do they always put the games on a monday.
well worth it though.
on the game;
Oden was quite a force especially when the refs teamed up with him from the get-go (if you dvr-ed the game, watch the early fouls against horford, richard, noah - absolutely despicable). I kept wondering if Oden was going to get a tech for throwing his feet in everyone's face when he dunked. Everyone who can dunk can do that. Slapping the backboard more than once in a game is lame. Though, anyone who was saying Durant would be the #1 i believe has changed their mind.
The difference IMO was 3's. OSU was very cold and the Gators jacked one up every time the momentum started to swing in the direction of the Buckeyes.
I now have a subscription to SI that won't run out until i have kids in college.

It was interesting to pan the camera on Bill Belichick all dressed up even with a tie!
Danny Hogan's IMO is correct that the Gators' treys really killed OSU (they finally made two treys very late in the game in the 2nd half).

I am now convinced that OSU has two of the worst coaches in college sports on the payroll. They do know that you can make adjustment once the game starts...right? Without Oden, last night's games is as lopsided as the BCS game. OSU could not have thrown a rock in the ocean last night but yet Matta continues letting them launch threes on their way to 4-23 on the night. Great job coach. And on the defensive side, you have Oden to contest every shot in the paint so how are you leaving men open on the perimeter when UF is one of the premier 3-point shooting teams in all the land?
I agree with Danny on some of those foul calls. The refs took a page from the NBA and decided that Oden would be playing the whole game.

I disagree about the coaches statement....I wont let my personal opinions about the "classy FSU athletic department" come into play here....Bobby Bowden (cough, cough)
When you are down that much you have to keep shooting them at somepoint, not to mention if you've watched OSU at all prior to this tourney...they've lived and died by the three all year....
Oh, and regarding the zone and one defense, is it Thad's fault a player doesnt move as fast as the ball? (like the lax point in that statement)... I could relate that to the NBA Ricky Davis' bad d being Randy Whittman's fault (he never rotates - ever...) I thought it was great ball rotation by a great team to open shooters....
Keep in mind this was a great run for a young team...and though I bleed Scarlett and Grey, and my heart belongs in O-H-I-O...Florida deserved it and were a much better team...Funny thing is, I picked Florida in my poll to win the entire thing...(I had Gtown beating OSU)...

I don't know, ESPN.com seems to agree with a lot of my assessment:
http://proxy.espn.go.com/ncb/ncaatourney07/news/story?id=2823384
Every time OSU made it close, someone lost track of Lee Humphrey in several loose ball situations and Humphrey made them pay. Or Taurean Green hit a 3. Or Al Horford hit a jump shot. It was really remarkable to watch just how timely Florida's baskets were.
Ohio State also failed to drive the ball consistently when it was kicked out by Oden. Twenty-three 3-point attempts were just far too many, and there was not enough emphasis on creating off the dribble.
How good is Florida? The Gators got almost nothing from Joakim Noah and turned the ball over eight more times than OSU and still won. Ohio State scouted Florida perfectly by not guarding Noah, Chris Richard or Horford out on the floor, yet Florida still shot 49 percent from the field.
Jamar Butler was just not on, and his untimely misses were brutal. In the most simplistic explanation possible, OSU did not make shots and Florida did.

Wow...the talking heads are the most promient basketball minds in the country....
Dick V said the same thing durring pregame...if OSU doesnt make the 3 ball they have no chance....again, if you've watched OSU basketball at all prior to the tourney, they live and die by the three...not to hard to be Tuesday morning point guard.... which is essential what ESPN and Sportcenter is - not just highlights...
Again, great job FLA... Danny, you're having a rough day at work huh???
Maybe you could use some Gatorade.....haahahhhaaa

In college basketball, it's all about the 3's. These guys are shooting from the same arch they started on as kids and the range isn't a problem. If you make the 3's, you'll win the game (Right Roy Williams?). Florida had 15 turnovers to OSU's 7, but the Gators' guards couldn't miss and the Buckeyes were ice cold from the arch.
Congrats to 3 straight championships for the Florida Gators... Perhaps a repeat in '08 with four returning starters coming back as seniors? Obviously a joke. Go Gators!

I Would love if all the Gators stayed one more and went 3 peat....just to stick it to the NBA and say, not all players care about money right away...
