playoff question

what happens if there is a tie in the CCLA B. How is it decided who goes? I know tie breakers would be if the the team lost to one of the other teams but what if that doesnt eliminate the tie?

i checked the CCLA website but i didnt see anything about it.

There is a series of tie breakers that eventually ends up at a coin toss. It would be basically statistically impossible (or at least unlikely) that it would come down to a coin toss. Basically both teams would have to have either not played each other, or at least split two games between each other by the exact same score, and then both scored exactly the same number of goals, and given up exactly the same number of goals over the season.

Don't quote me on that, but there are a bunch of tie breakers.

So calvin is in the conference tournament assuming they win out. but heres my question
In conference matches
Ferris has one loss

GVSU has two

NMU has two

If GVSU wins agaisnt ferris this saturday and all teams win the rest of their games who goes to the championship tourney.

using my scenario that GVSU beats ferris, that means that GVSU beat ferris, ferris beat NMU and NMU beat GVSU. Same amount of wins and losses. Whats the tie breaker?

maybe there is something i am missing here but this is what i see.

found on the GRLC fourm.

Sorry, I did not see this.

In the event of a tie, the first tiebreaker shall be the results of head-to-head competition between the two teams during the current regular season (in the game that was determined to count toward the rankings). If this does not produce a solution (due to more than two teams being tied or any other reason), the second tiebreaker shall be overall goal-differential in required GRLC play during the current regular season. Plus or minus goal differentials in excess of 8 shall not count towards the tiebreaker for more than 8 goals. The third tiebreaker shall be a coin flip, with the Vice Commissioner flipping the coin in the presence of at least one other Executive Board member from a different school present.

is this the same system for CCLA? is it 8 goal max differential? anyone know and want to quickly tell me?
