will be displayed this weekend on ABC as the MLS Cup takes place (New England Revolution vs. the Houston Dynamo) on Sunday afternoon at 3:30pm (Eastern). Pizza Hut Park is located approx. 30 miles north of Downtown Dallas - just north of Plano (site of last year's National Tournament).

FC Dallas' soccer-specific stadium is in its second year of operation and served as host to MLS Cup 2005. In 2006, the stadium will again host the MLS Championship match, filling its 20,500 seats with cheering fans.

One of many suggested sites in the Dallas Metroplex area.

For those that might care. US Soccer is playing Guatemala on ESPN2 right now at Pizza Hut Park.

I have a sugestion for next years tournament.

The east coast is the traditonal heart of lacrosse, overshadowing the west coast growth of the sport. While the MCLA Tournament is great for the popularity of club lacrosse, it may be time to take the championship tournament to a similar venue as the DI contests. While the same size stadium may not be necessary it would be a great showcase of the nation wide growth of lacrosse across the U.S. No doubt, devoloping the sport further drawing talent to nontraditional lacrosse programs.

Especialy exciting over on the left coast.

Big stadiums cost mega bucks.

We will be in 10,000 seat Pizza Hut Park this year for the semis and finals of the MCLA tournament on a fantastic field. The facility is state of the art (only 2 years old). I'm not sure what (and where) better you had in mind.

I've been there for a couple of soccer games and it is without a doubt the best place in North Texas for the BIG SHOW. Where are the rest of the games going to be played?

Sonny I went and watched Navy play Holy Cross last weekend at SMU and I would guess there was a couple thousand people there and at least half were kids from all different schools around the area. I noticed you had a booth there which is a start. You could see how fast the game is growing here by all the different schools throughout the metroplex that attended the game. In the spirit much like Field Of Dreams "get the word out and they will come".

The other MCLA tournament games will also be played at Pizza Hut Park on the other fields.

The MCLA Tournament Host committee is really doing a lot of great work for this year's event. We are all very hopefully to get some good crowds at PHP for the semis on Friday and the finals on Saturday.

Here is a link to the MCLA Host Committee Web site with some additional information about this year's event:

I dont mean to be critical but that website is kinda weak, especially when looking at how nice mcla.us works and how collegelax.us operates day in and day out.

I'm not a web designer but do know the basics and could do better. How much did they pay for that site? Crap they could have used a big mcla sponsor and gotten ialax.com to do it. I dont know their prices for something like that but I know their not that expensive and would have looked a ton better.

The other thing is that they list the teams that played in last year's championship which totals 11 according to their site (10 A, 1 B). If I'm not mistaken but wasn't there around 28 teams there?

Sorry but as big as the MCLA has gotten, I kind of expect more.

Final count for the game was around 4500 people

What are the terms of the deal with Pizza Hut Park, i.e. is this a one-year deal or a long-term deal?
