unofficial (from memory)
Utah 22 Ft. Lewis 13
probably not the score but ball park.
ft. lewis came out strong taking the lead in the first. sort of see saw in the first half with utah up by a few at half. in the third utah took over although there were glimpes of hope for ft lewy until late in the thrid.
ft lewis is well coached and tenacious with a handful of quite talented players. depth is the hard part in the b division as John and I discussed. i hope they're not too tired.
be looking for a good matchup tomorrow at westminster as ft lewis will be paying my griffins. as i said it another thread, i'll be bringing my tums for tomorrow. i hate heart burn. as i'm sure it'll be stressful. (hard when i'm not on the field)
1 pm is game time. should be our best test so far (B division). can't wait to see how it unfolds.
good luck to john and the skyhawks

It was a lot of fun. I am just glad we got there and back safely. I don't know about those Tornados you have there Alex. We would like to invite you to come to Albuquerque next year and in the future we will go to Norman every other year. I can get some the top Teams in the RMLC to play you like Ft. Lewis College for a second game or Northern Arizona to met you here in Albuquerque or maybe a Division A program like Colorado State, Utah or BYU. We will work on getting our Soccer facility or this Rio Rancho facility for our game with you next year. My guys want to bring out our fans for that game if you come. At any rate it was a great time and thanks for having us . You guys will have a really great program in Division A and a great future for OU Lacrosse in this league. Good Luck to OU Lax this season.
The win was great over the weekend but for our Team it is about getting experience and developing our program.

Recently, we won a game against Newman U 26 to 2. We would have stopped, but there were just times where you had to shoot. If you didn't, then the other team would outright know you're laying back. And that was with our last lines. So if that was happening to UNC, then i can understand.

Showing class does not equal taking it easy on your opponent. However, class is shown by the team's character during the game. I've been on the losing side of multiple 20+ goal deficits and a 30+ goal deficit. And I have found it classy when the team winning continues to play hard (kinda like still respecting your opponent by playing them hard). But if the winning team is shouting, laughing, and showing no respect then that's a whole other deal.

Wyoming Game
Dan,
For you to understand the score better you had to be there.
Wyoming in my own opinion came to greeley to hit/hurt our players instead of playing a lacrosse game. During the game two of our players had to go to the hospital. One was crosschecked so hard so high that it broke his jaw in three places and broke three of his teeth. This meaning that he will have to have implants for his teeth and was supposed to get his jaw sewn shut this morning But I guess this is old technology and must have plates and screws put along his jaw. He cant get into surgery until tomorrow night, spending two days in agony. His season is over...... and there was no call.
The second was hit in much the same manner except a butt end of a shaft went up in his helmet, lacerating his face. He also has a probable concussion. He had to get around 20 stitches in his face. He might not be back until after our montana trip. Missing maybe the 2 biggest games of our season......Again no call.
Both of these hits were by the same player also
Our team as a whole decided that if the game continued to be played with the intentions to hurt us we might as well make a statement with the score rather than taking penalties. It wasn't a drive and shoot thing either. We would pass three times even before thinking about taking a shot and cut and make great feeds for the goals. we had to go out and protect our "family". The game almost got out of hand as fights almost broke out numerous times. It was a great game for us as a team because it brought us even closer together then we were prior to this game. We truly are a family now and will do anything for our brothers on the team. Working on our technique and scoring goals was the only option we had. We beat wyoming in ground balls 70-20 (Unofficial from the stat person), during the game, wyo wouldn't go for the ball they went for the big hit, not really playing lacrosse at that point.
When we played Northern Arizona it was a clean game with us being on the winning end. our coach had us slow things down and work on our plays, and told us no more unassisted goals. He told us this at Halftime. It was a really hot day and it was our first game in about a week so we were very fresh, and it was Northern Arizonas third game in one weekend (i believe) So once we had the game in hand we focused on perfecting our game plan, different defenses, different plays. we aren't out to destroy teams and embarrass them. we just wanted to make a statement against wyoming to draw some attention to the details of the game.
Same thing against regis. The only difference is that Regis played as if they were within 2 goals of us the whole game. That team played their hearts out and never gave up at all. Our defense played amazing that game and our offense also did many things right. We played so well as a team that it wasn't able to be stopped. We also controlled the ball and the pace of the game, and worked to find the open feed and worked our offense.
So i hope people realize that we aren't out to just embarrass people, we are trying to play as a team for a chance at a national title.
To NAU and Regis, I do not mean to discredit your programs in any way with the above statements. I believe you both are great clubs and play with class and I am glad you are members of the RMLC. good luck with the rest of your season
