As an eighth-grader contemplates transfering schools to play lacrosse, his dad plans for the future

Dozens of seventh- and eighth-graders gathered in Apple Valley’s Hayes arena March 28 for the start of lacrosse season. One of them was Farmington resident Kyle Oswald, whose interest in the sport has led him to consider transferring from Farmington schools to Apple Valley for a chance to play at the high school level.
“There were a lot of hard emotions tugging at me when we did this because I believe, first and foremost, that a kid should go to school in a district where they live,” said Kyle’s father, Randy Oswald.
