what a left turn this entire poll discussion went.....
we started at ....
disgruntled and complaining (as noted every year)
found out I was....
In a country club (if your from Minnesota...this is extremely exciting - if you dont know about the country club at 600 First Ave... I can explain http://rubechat.kfan.com/blogs/danbarreiro/default.aspx - timberwolves satire)
moved on to ...
Chapman issues (sorry to hear - best of luck the rest of the year)
now, im standing here, scratching my head at ...
Gobbler at his finest

Catlax,
Guess its back to HS english for you. Fortunately for me I see nothing wrong with gobbler's grammar. He has a powerful grasp on the English language. His innovative and unique use of English prose is both refreshing and enlightening.

One last comment on the Chapman situation:
I just want to offer up an outsider’s opinion on the overall effect of removing Chapman from the polls.
Doesn't the removal of the Panthers from the polls actually indirectly penalize the competition who have scheduled games against Chapman this season? Chapman was ranked as high as 17th in the polls, and with their upcoming road trip against CSU, CU, Utah and Oregon they could possibly have jumped even higher in the polls. ASU, U of A and CPSLO have all beaten Chapman. By removing Chapman from the polls, doesn't this also remove a quality win from these teams? It is especially important for a CPSLO team that looks to be on the bubble of possibly getting an at-large bid to the tournament. They could use all the top-25 wins that they can get.
JP, as a sports fan, I was wondering if you could elaborate on this comment.
In my (admittedly far less than complete) understanding of NCAA sanctions, eligibility violations do not penalize the teams moving forward. Meaning that if a team violates the rules of player eligibility, they are penalized in the season which the violation occurs...even going as far as forfeiting games in which the violating player played in, and if it comes to it, even stripping the team of conference or national titles that have already been won. I know this happened to the U of Hawaii volleyball team a few years ago, they were stripped of their National title for playing an ineligible player. But even then there were no further sanctions placed on the team moving forward. I was just hoping you could explain what you meant above.
