I'm sorry but you have to play better teams maybe teams with above .500 records. And if they are so good they will win their conference tournament, and then see what real competition looks like when they get to MN. On their schedule they have #12 MN-Dulth who will drop far if not out of the top 25, #24 Texas, who will drop out of the top 25, and #24 Texas Tech who will drop out of the top 25. Bad teams get on good teams schedules too, you can't say just because you were bad means that you can't schedule games against good teams, look at Auburn and other teams that were able to get onto CSU schedule, San Diego State onto UCSB's schedule, the Texas schools onto BYU, CSU, AZ, CU, and many other teams schedules. Be careful to call a team beating bad teams a "top ten team" because they haven't lost.

I agree. I am getting pretty tired of people saying that Lindenwood is on a tear. Gimme a break people. THEY DON"T PLAY ANYONE OF ANY SIGNIFICANCE!! Texas and TTU would have seemed to boost their rankings and now they wont. You can't get into the Top 15 of this league when your combined opponents are 9-15 and 11-26 respectively. Gimme a break people.

they were an average team last year, they did schedule more aggressively and perhaps didn't know how good they were actually going to be this year.

They dont' have a top-5 heavy hitter on the schedule, but it is not their fault that their scheduled opponents didn't turn out to be as good as everyone thought they would be coming in.

If we were having this conversation in december it wouldn't be headed in this direction. That being said i agree that you can't be proven as a top 10 team until you show it against other top 10 teams.

i'm sure i'll be proved(en?) wrong by the first guy who responds to this but i don't think all the people touting lindenwood's success are actually linked to the program.

Hey, why are a couple of you so willing to knock some teams out of the top 25 who haven't played a game in a few weeks. What happened to leaving those who haven't played a game alone until they play and give the voters something to vote on.
and away we go

No one on their schedule is a top 15 team period, the only team that made the tournament last year was MN-Dulth and that is because they won the AQ. It's too bad that they don't play anyone good this year but don't tell me that they are a better team than Utah and that they deserve an AQ if they don't win their conference. If you don't win that conference you don't deserve to see how good you are. Lindenwood is a decent team dont get me wrong but not until they beat someone noteworthy they ain't anything. This is the last that I have to say on this topic because it is begninning to make me mad that we are talking about a subject like this.

Actually Texas and Missouri made it last year too. From last year's final poll, they scheduled to play:

#13 UMD
#15 Missouri
#16 Miami OH
#17 Texas

For an unranked team, that's a decent schedule. You don't know what's gonna happen.

I am just curious how you justify dropping Chapman out of the top 25 when the only team they have been defeated by is hovering right around the 10 spot in your upcoming poll. Fortunately, Chapman has plenty of opportunity in their upcoming games to find out just exactly where they stand.

I think Boston College is one of the most over ranked teams in the country--they play only one top 25 team this year. Can somebody explain how they are ranked #11. Talk about a "cupcake schedule". They should not even be ranked.

Chapman has struggled mightily with 2 teams in the WCLL that might be among the league's worst A division teams, Stanford and San Diego State. Although they have wins, these are teams that a Top 25 team should have dominated.

Briefly, maybe I am just being ignorant, but other than getting voted in for not winning your conference where do the polls and voters matter?

All the LU hype is nice to give our school recognition, and I think we have one heck of a program. I feel extremely privlaged to have been, and still be part of this lacrosse program. Every year we have gotten better and better.

Last year LU played some tough OOC travel games that ran us dry including games against FSU, Universtiy of Florida, and CSU. Now I will be the first to admit that out of those 3 the only close one was against U of F, but we really came out to play that one.

This year we had scheduled what looked like at least a decently tough schedule that would give us both a season that would help to build our team, but not bury us like Mizzou's seems to have. It is not our fault some of the teams we have played havn't lived up to thier ranking, which many of the people posting decided on.

All I have to say is that LU is gaining speed every year, and this year we have an awesome lineup. I have no clue where we will end up. I think Blaine for sure, but how far there...? At least better than Mizzou has been representing.

You can justify this because the team that we lost to just lost to an unranked team by 12. So thats about where I assume we will end up in the next poll.
