It's never too early to start thinking about seeding for the playoffs. That's why Torrey Pines High boys lacrosse coach John Principi put so much stock in last night's 12-9 nonleague victory over visiting Coronado.
“Whoever wins definitely has an advantage,” Principi said before the game. “The winner of this game will really be in control of their own destiny.”
Ranked No. 1 in the San Diego Section and No. 3 in the state, the Falcons (6-0) overcame an early three-goal deficit before pulling away in the second half – a trait that's become a staple for this team.
