Spring break means OOC games rule. Of course, it does so mostly outside the PNCLL. Oregon (4-0; 10-0) takes it's #1 ranking on a trip to the 7-11 with games against the 7th-ranked Buffalos and eleventh-ranked LaxCats in the desert, and then takes on the 13th-ranked Sun Devils for good measure. Boise State (1-3; 1-4) takes an ambitious trip to the Central California coast, where the Trojans and #12 Mustangs await. Oregon State (1-3; 3-4) eschews the beach for a trip east to the Wasatch Mountains for games where the Aggies and #14 Utes await. #25 Western Oregon (4-1; 4-1) takes it's first national ranking on a first OOC trip down to GOP country, for an Orange County game at #18 UCI, followed next week with games at Biola and Oxy. Gonzaga (0-2; 2-3) hosts Nevada and Central Washington (3-2; 3-2) for a hoedown in Spo-town.

There is also one lone, solitary conference game. Puget Sound (2-2; 2-2) is at Pacific Lutheran (4-1; 4-1), in a game where we can expect the two Tacoma schools to be acting decidely un-neighborly. For the Lutes, they need a conference win to hold ground in the jockeying for playoff seeding. For the Loggers it is make-or-break if UPS holds any hopes to still make the playoff field at all. By the 4th quarter Loggers and Lutes will be largely indistinguishable from one another, slopping around in the muddy mosh pit extraordinaire that is otherwise known as Gonyea Park. At G.P. the visitors sideline is a softball infield in the summer, but during lacrosse season hip-boots wont do, so chest-waders are mandatory and personal-flotation devices are strongly recommended.

Idaho will be heading across the border this Saturday for a scrimmage with WSU.

Another great weekend of games for the Ducks, good luck fellas! You guys really put together a solid schedule. No better way to prepare for the second season.

I may get some heat for this one but.... If you look at the highlights that oregon has put on youtube, ALL they do is feed the crease. No outside shots at all. When is a team going to notice this and do something about it??? I am not talking smack at all, they are very good and have proved that they deserve that number 1 seed, but the eye in the sky does not lie. Anyone else have any comments about this? Again I just want to say i am not being negative and i think oregon is nasty this year but seriously, the videos, especially the oregon vs oregon state, show that their offense is feeding the crease.

I'm sure oregon has some pretty capable outside shooters, but until somebody proves they can stop the feeds theres no need to start rippin from the outside.

I am just trying to make a valid point. Obviously not 100% of their goals have been doorstep shots but the majority have been, and it can been seen in the film. With that evidence, it makes me wonder what would happen to them if that was taken away? Do they have the firepower? Do they have the game sense? I dont know, I have only seen the highlights.

Why wouldn't they feed the crease if opponents are leaving them open? A good team takes what is given to them and that's what Oregon is doing. You can't fault them for doing that.

The problem is why the crease is open... someone on the other team got beat... Most of these crease feeds are because the Ducks keep a lot of pressure on opposing defenses. If your choice is to slide to the crease or allow a guy to walk to your doorstep, I'd try to make them feed.

Oregon has plenty of good outside shooters. But like Catlax said good teams take what is given to them. If you stop the shot they make the pass, if you do not slide they will take the shot.

I think you are getting my point mixed up. I agree with what you are saying, I am not knocking Oregon for this, I am just pointing out the fact that I dont get why other teams havent tried to stop this. If Oregon is given the crease then by all means take it.
