The Bergen River Dogs is a new professional lacrosse team in Bergen County, New Jersey. This team will share a stadium with the Bergen Cliff Hawks, a minor league baseball team. This team will not be started up until 2007 or 2008 when the Meadowlands Xanadu is completed. The stadium will consist of 8,000 seats and will be built right next to the planned indoor ski mountain and resort. Should the plan fall through, the team could end up playing at Red Bull Park (with a different name, since that stadium is in another county), as soccer-specific stadium designs are generally conducive to the needs of professional outdoor lacrosse teams.
