BYU will probably be given the benefit of the doubt as their one goal loss to AZ was their season opener. They will be #4. Michigan will be #5, and AZ should be #6. In my opinion, even on a bad day a 12-1 loss is just too glaring to put them higher.

Maybe I missed it, but SFU beats Oregon in a close one.... Washington beats SFU 14-2.... You move Oregon down 7 spots, and don't move Washington into the poll?

No, you didn't miss anything. Washington's win over SFU says more about SFU & Oregon than it says anything about Washington. Washington lost 16-6 to Chico, who SFU & Oregon barely beat. In addition, they barely got by Cal (10-9) who is not a very good team at all this year. That's why you see the drop. It will take more than a win over SFU at this point to convince me that Washington belongs, but then again, I'm not a voter, so it really doesn't matter what I think.

You have a good point, but it's still early in the season... Most teams seem to be sorting more out week by week getting better and better, I would bet UW is doing the same. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I'm sure it will get sorted out a bit more next week as UW, Oregon, and SFU have some ooc games coming up.... Maybe I'm wrong, but from what I hear, UW played extremely well. We'll hope its a sign of things to come and not a fluke.

You have a few things wrong. AZ can't drop to 9 after beating BYU, your #4 team. I realize that FSU lost by the same score to SSU but AZ is in the top 7 and still ahead of Oakland and FSU. Also Lindenwood in the top 15, maybe top 20. New Hampshire is a top 25 team but not top 20. And does the LSA deserve a top 25 team? Only top 25 OOC win was against your #25 Florida. UCSD needs to be higher than 15, and Chico is another 15 - 20 team.

Seeing some dramatic predictions for Lindenwood ... they looked really solid against Texas!

TAMU33,

On what basis do you rank CSU over UCSB at this point? Once you are #1, you stay there until (1) someone beats you or (2) it is readily obvious that you are not #1. We know that it is not (1), so what is your justification that it is scenario (2)?

Walter= It is my poll, so nothing is wrong. Your opinion is that Zona can't drop after beating BYU, well here is my logic behind it. It was BYU's first game of the year, they barely lost to a top ten team. BYU then beats Michigan after Michigan destroys Zona. A good loss early is easier to understand than a big loss mid season. New Hampshire has only their texas games to base off of.. but I think they will win their league. UCSD has only beaten USC, chapman and UCLA, nothing special there (all lower WCLL teams.) I think SMU is a good team. SMU has not played an OOC game. They beat texas and almost beat TX Tech the first game of the year. Chico beat a good washington team and cal poly then barely lost to Oregon, and had a good loss to SFU, (whom washington recently destroyed). Oakland looked really good and will challenge Michigan for the CCLA. FSU will win most, if not all, of their conference games, they went to Cali to be challenged early this season. Zona's loss to Michigan really hurt them. The only reason they are still in the top ten is because of their win against BYU.

CATLAX,
CSU recieved 5 #1 votes last poll, so it is not like they don't have the respect to be a number one team. I think their performances have proved them deserving of that spot. I will say that UCSB is definitely nipping at their heels.

It looks like the SELC will have 3 teams in the top 15, CCLA will have 2, RMLC could have 4 (but most likely not), WCLL should have 4, PCLL will have 1 and maybe the PNCLL will keep 1 in there (although I dont think that they should be). And the LSA, GRLC and UMLLwill not have any. (I think that is most likely the way things will go for trips to MN as well with last team out either Utah, UCSD or GT depending how these teams finish)
