PNCLL Week #4 (2/27 - 3/05) -- Predict/Scores/Discuss

Postby lincoln02 on Sun Mar 04, 2007 12:27 pm

good luck with your team patrick.

my advice is to not expect anything to happen too fast.

SOU lacrosse was founded in 2003 with 10 guys who showed up to scrimmage a couple times a week with only five experienced players.

get a cage, round up some sticks, and things will fall into place (though it takes a couple years...)

cheers,
julian

Via phone, so score could be a bit off:

Albertson 11
Linfield 6

Albertson goes 2-0 this weekend. Go Yotes!

I see that the score for the PLU western has been posted with WWU winning 18-9. i was looking at there remaining schedule for the season and was wondering if anyone can clear this up. it appears they only have 9 or 10 games scheduled this year with only one out of league game against westminster. if they don't win the league championship and are still in the top twelve will they still be allowed an at large? i thought a req. for at larges was to play at least two or three OOC games? it would be nice to see a strong western team travel and rep the NW

I see that Boise State and U of W have started a nice conference rivalry. Boise St. beats them last year by a goal and U of W has revenge for last years loss and wins by a goal. Must have been a great game ( like last years game).

I see that U of W has had home field advantage both times. I do understand how nice the facilities are in the U district but maybe next year they can make the trip down to Boise. Two years in a row of being home is a nice comfort zone.

The schedule was juggled so every A team had three home and three away games. Boise agreed to play all their games in '06 on the road when applying to switch conferences from the RMLC to the PNCLL. That means that they will play three teams -- including UW -- on the road again for a second straight season. This worked out nice for U-Dub in '07, I agree. But next year we will be making the trip to Boise, and should be alternating every season thereafter.

And it is, indeed, a great new rivalry. Both teams have been evenly matched both years. They are also a great bunch of guys, and I'm really glad that the Broncos are now part of the PNCLL.

Great to see Sam Cameron back on the field for the Griz this weekend. Welcome back to the northwest, Sam. Glad to see that you have recovered from that knee injury and are doing well. Good luck to you and your team this season.
