Santa Barbara 11
Claremont 6

The game was at Claremont not Santa Barbara. UCSB has only 4 home games this year.
Thanks for the score.

what is UCSB giving up 6 goals to Clarmont. No offence to the "B" squad but that must have been some weak D by the south american cowboys.

Claremont is a solid team with some good shooters, I don't think that score is too far off.

A team that has given up 50 goals in 4 games is criticizing some other team's defense????

Just because they used to play in Div. B doesn't mean they aren't a strong team. Claremont played a solid game, keeping the game much closer at the half (only one goal seperating the two teams). Claremont got quite a few good looks at the cage in the second half but couldn't get it in the back of the net.

Santa Barbara is also a class team. They don't believe in running up the score. Claremont put up a good fight right up to the end, and should be commended for their hard work in this tough battle. Good job Cougars!! Kudos to Scott Trimble on the final goal for the Cougs, and David Fussel-Louie's goal with an assist from Derek Pierce. Nice teamwork on both shots by all of the offensive line.

Goalie Alex Price also did a stellar job in the cage, foiling quite a few Gaucho attempts. Loved your charge to mid field in the 4th quarter. Don't you ever tire??? Ashton Clarke and Emery Mitchem were leading the way defensively, and Max Sanford was doing a stellar job as well. Keep up the good work D!

As for the Gauchos, Brendan Sindell (14), Ryan Brent (41) and Masato Takashita (4) were really putting the pressure on Claremont's D throughout the last half of the game. (I missed the first half, unfortunately). Their D was also doing an excellent job harrying the Cougar attackmen. (sorry guys, I was on the wrong side of the field to note numbers). You folks also brought quite a cheering squad for the game! Nice to see so many fans out to cheer on both teams.

Kudos to the Gauchos on their win. Hope y'all had a good time at the BBQ.

Nevada looked very slow and lethargic. Davis, on the other hand moved the ball very well, and just had a few breakdowns that resulted in two goals. The Utah teams will have their hands full when the Aggies travel to the beehive state. davis' defense looked very active and aggressive for the most part.
On another note, I must carry some serious weight in the lax community. The two things i complained about from last game were fixed. The directions on wcll.com were correct, and no cow smell. I did see some people cooking up burgers off to the side of the field. Coincidence??
