A new article from Seymour Hersh is always something to look forward to!
For an excellent analysis of the current state of the US' position in the MidEast - what's going on behind the scenes, what the strategic options are for the US, and how the standoff between Iran and the US could actually be helping Al Queda and hurting our effort in Iraq - here is some can't miss reading. Print it off and take it to the "library" with you.
After reading his work I always feel that I have a much clearer understanding of what is actually going on. Powerful and insightful article.

Mr. Ahmadinejad visited Saudi Arabia today which is his first official visit to that country except for one time he made his Haji pilgrimmage to Mecca. It will be interesting to read what Mahmoud and King Abudullah of Saudi Arabia have to say about their talks today.
Prior to his visit to Saudi Arabia, I also understood that he paid a visit to Sudan a few days ago.

He was on Bill Maher last night in reference to this article. It was a very good interview. Not much comedy in what he had to say though. Especially with the discussion about the US funding radical Sunni groups and "lost" funds being diverted to covert operations.

This map is from a November 18, 2006 article by Mahdi Darius Nazemroaya in which I found about this article from another message board. The name of the article is, "Plans for redrawing the Middle East: The Project for a "New Middle East."

It is quite bit of a long read. I am not familiar with the Centre for Research on Globalization which has the GlobalResearch.ca website.
