Please tell me you are kidding with this "spin" of the facts? Either the game results count, and we base our ballotting on actual results from the playing field, or we simply ignore or discount whatever scores don't fit our pre-determined opinions going in.

The beauty of polls is that many people's opinions are averaged together. If everyone agreed with everyone...there would be no need to poll more than 1 person.

Everyone has a right to their opinion based on what they believe...whether we agree on it or not.

Amen!

We see this every year when some team that everyone is used to seeing win actually loses a game...excuses. I wasn't there but it was 19-6 against the defending National Champs. I don't care that it was the opening weekend and I don't care that UO was at home. I don't care if CSU was looking ahead to Sonoma...19-6! The game was never in doubt, how can someone say with an ounce of credibility that CSU lost it more than UO won it?

Way to go Ducks, it warms my heart to see that the best MCLA lacrosse isn't necessarily played in the RMLC or WCLL.

From Flip's Journal:

We got whooped tonight. It was a case of us getting outplayed in every facet of the game. It was knowing that I pretty much had to stand there and take it like a man tonight, because there was not much to be done about it all on during the game. We were by far the inferior team from the get go. We were down 10-0 at one point in the first half, so we were never close to being in the game. There were no adjustments to be made. The fixing of this will be a long-term proposition.

Clearly CSU just played bad, thus the reason why Oregon won.

Re: Duluth in Top 10

I couldn't disagree more. If they are able to even take one game in Salt Lake it will most likely be Utah. Which UCSB this year, Arizona and Sonoma last year proved can be very tough on that last day of their trip. That would only give them only three "quality wins" for the entire season. Lindenwood, Cal Poly and Utah. None of these teams area even in the top ten. How can you justify a top 5? top 10 okay I guess, but not five c'mon. You have to beat the big boys to get yourself in the top 5 in my opinion.

Now that being said, If UMD can take two out of three or more, now you can start your top 5 discussion.

If early season results are indicative of a trend, I would have to say that statement is only true with regards to the WCLL. The RMLC should have all four teams in the Top 10. I would suspect that this poll will have the highest rated WCLL team at about #8 and it won't be the usual suspects there either. Looks like it appears to be a down year for the WCLL, but it's still early.

The RMLC has 5 teams, but I know what you mean. It is a pretty nasty conference.
