-A large map of campus, click on "Athletic Area" to zoom in. If you scroll north a little bit you can see the fields. The map has parking areas nicely labeled, such as the 4th street ramp, which will probably be your best bet and is about a 3 block walk from the field.
Seeing as the tournament games are being held over the weekend, and we are on a Big Ten campus, I would feel safer having my car parked in a ramp than in front of a frat house Best of luck to everyone this weekend, we're all very excited to host such a great tournament.

Gopher Men's Basketball (1:30pm) & Hockey (7:00pm) both have home games on Saturday which will contribute to the parking mess as well.

Great game last night.
Cal Poly came back from three goals down in the second half. I'll write more later, as I have to get to the field for the 12:45 game.
Here are some photos of Friday nights game.

I'll get these uploaded to Collegelax.us as soon as I can.
Great games today, a giant thank you to everyone who braved the snow.
Congratulations to Duluth, for their excellent performance today in their win over Lindenwood. Overall, I thought they put forth an outstanding effort. They won in convincing fashion, brought in a ton of fans, and represented the UMLL with class against a highly ranked opponent.
Best of luck to them tomorrow in their game against Cal Poly.

Couple of quick impressions:
Cal Poly beat UMN by 2. I'm almost certain it was 9-7. Minnesota started with a lot of first game jitters, missing passes and blowing clears, and got down something like 4-1 in the first quarter. UMN pulled itself together after that and made a battle out of it, and tied it several times, though I can't remember if they ever lead. CP showed a lot of poise in end, finally getting the 2 goal lead with about 4 minutes left.
Lindenwood-Duluth was pretty brutal. Lindenwood was especially foul happy, and when they were even, UMD's goalie stopped almost everything. First quarter ended roughly 5-1, and the difference slowly widened from there. It was 9-1 late in the 4th until a couple of EMO goals by Lindenwood. UMD's faceoff guy was a big factor along with the man-up scoring.

Hey, check the weekly thread - just like every other Conference Forum!
Hey, I looked at the scoreboard on the home page, and only saw one score there!
I figured if they're doing updates on this Chris Jenkins Invitational thread it wasn't too much to ask for some scores. Sorry!

I wanted to take a minute on the board to thank all the people who made the Chris Jenkins Invitational and Andy Boyles Clinic a great success.
First: Troy Hood, Aaron Meyers, Rob Graff, and Brian Hurley - coaches of the participating teams for agreeing to meet for this inagural event. We had some really great lacrosse because these coaches lead great teams.
Second: All the counselors who made the effort to volunteer for the Andy Boyles Clinic. The kids all learned a great deal and appreciated your hands-on approach to improving their skills. The only negative ffeedback we got was that it wasn't long enough. We'll see what we can do about that next year
Third: The fans from all 4 teams who braved some fairly serious weather and difficult parking to come and cheer their boys on. Saturday's crowd was phenominal, close to 300 fans for each game.
Fourth: The game officials who generously donated half their game fees to the Chris Jenkins Memorial Fund.
Fifth: The Department of Rec Sports at the University of Minnesota who fully supported the event from the idea stage through completion.
and finally: Adam Gamradt went the extra mile to ensure that this event was first class, and he did so with very little help. He managed the event, all the logistics, put out fires and still managed to help coach his team. Without your efforts Adam, this event would not have been nearly as successful - thanks buddy.
I think the University, the team and the local lacrosse community is excited to host this event again next year. See you then!

Chris, thank you, you are too kind.
You forgot to mention all the work you put in yourself, so I will do so. Thank you for your planning, and guidance, we simply could not have pulled this off without you.
I'd also like to thank the Jenkins Family, Northstar Lacrosse, and our phototgrapher Sarah Sweney. If anyone needs a photographer for any event, please don't hesitate to send me a PM. She donated a ton of time, and did an excellent job.
I will have some more pictures up soon, and will get them to the MCLA website as soon as possible.

Awesome Job
It was an awesome job by everyone involved. The tournament was organized, well played, and extremely fun.
Additionally, the Duluth and Minnesota represented the UMLL extremely well. Awesome job guys. See all of you in conference play in just a couple of weeks.

I have to concur with Chris' assessment of how much Adam Gamradt meant to this invitational actually taking place - without him burning the midnight oil, this event doesn't happen.
And I also want to thank the Coaches of Cal Poly and Lindenwood for agreeing to come to the midwest for some OOC games. It is appreciated.
Chris Larson provided a guiding hand and sounding board for the organizers. His years of experience navigating the intricacies of UofM administration was invaluable.
Finally, thanks to the Jenkins Family for all their support. They were at the games and an inspiration to all.
