Let me preface this by saying that I haven't seen a game since the Fall but I am intrigued by this FSU team. For the past several years, the knock on FSU has been that they can't play any defense and rode a bunch of 17-12 victories to high rankings before losing in the playoffs (the BYU year excluded).

Now we are seeing that they are showing poise late in games and trusting their skills to deliver victories. In the past, they might have wilted under the adversity. These experiences early in the season can only harden the Noles for a playoff push. And they are doing it while only giving up 6.9 goals a game, unbelievable!

Keep up the good work!

From Yesterday:
USC 14
Ball State 2

From Today:
USC 11
Virginia Tech 12

USC scored three goals in three minutes to make it close but couldn't capitalize on man down to pretty much end regulation.

From (a muddy) Panthersville Field in Atlanta.

Georgia State over Georgia Southern 15-5.
GCSU over Georgia Southern 8-7.
Georgia State over GCSU 8-7.

Georgia Southern has an ARMY of people and some talent to boot. I was very surprised.

GCSU is vastly improved since the fall. Team never gives up and plays hard till the end.

Georgia State needs more guys out at practice.

Hi all ....

Congrats to FSU for again taking the top spot in the Southern Shoot-Out at Tech ... they beat New Hampshire today to lock that up ...

Tech also won their game over Illinois ....

Here are some shots from today's games. The first two are from the Ga Tech/Illinois game - the last two from the UNH-FSU game ....

I'll post a link to the complete galleries of these games after I've processed the whole bunch ....

Thanks for looking !

Those are great shots Cecil. I'm glad that the weather cleared off for you on Sunday.

Here's one of my favorites from Saturday.
