Goal by Austin, assisted by Monteath. BYU 15-4 with 2:36 to go.

Why are the BYU starters still in the game at this point?

A pretty depressing game.

Kudos to BYU for an impressive win though!

FINAL SCORE: BYU - 15 UCSB - 4

THe stats & scoreboard would seem to indicate a dominating performance by the COugars. They might very well be the best team in the country right now. If I was a voter, they'd be my #1.

If Oregon blows out Noma, I would like to think they have a chance at number one as well. But either way, if they are #1 and #2, they play next friday here in the Bay, which makes for a great game.

I doubt that Oregon jumps all the way to number one whether they beat Sonoma or blast them. #2 or #3 is more likely, but first they have to take care of business against Sonoma before that can even be considered.

It's going to be a toss-up. Do voters vote for a Colorado team who hasn't played anyone (they don't play until next week, as I would assume NCAA games don't count toward voting), a 4-0 BYU team with solid wins over #7, #19 and #6, or a 6-0 Oregon team with solid wins over #1 and #4 (unofficial as of writing)? Maybe even Michigan will get a couple of votes if they go 2-0 in Florida. Great season so far from D-1 to MCLA.

One note: The Michigan/FSU game takes place next Wednesday in Tallahassee AFTER poll voting closes for the first poll vote.
