I knew the Ducks were good. . .but I thought the loss of Nate Cordova in the cage and Kyle Tolzman from the defense would hurt them. . .4 goals against CSU? Safe to say the defense has retooled just fine. . .

That's what I can't get over... You lose one of the best pressure defenseman in the PNCLL (& MCLA), but you're defense gets much much better.... Granted winning 90% of your faceoffs is a pretty big advantage, but what an improvement.
All of this said, this might just be an early reality check for the Rams.... It's not as though this means CSU isn't contender for the national title.

not sure, but I am pretty sure it was Andrew "Dirty" Vincent, Todd Jolly, and AJ johnson. both Dirty and Jolly started all last year and AJ saw plenty of time last year, so they aren't that new. Plus we retooled with a kid named Jonathan Jardin at Long pole who I think can be an AA this year. The kid is raw and I watched him as I helped coach in the fall. Probably the best pole they have and he is a freshman
