Is there anything else we should know about those games?
As in during the PLU vs. Willamette game, WU was missing their star player due to ejection in the previous game, weather was good, & the game was on turf (PLU is grass team).
Do we have any info that could have made the game closer, or did 1 team have 6 illegal sticks? Some of those games are closer than I expected...

st. louis
for the games in st. louis this weekend: i heard that harding had a couple injuries (not sure if they were key players or not), calvin was missing their top scorer (attack, about 6 pts a game last year) who was playing in the club hockey nationals, not sure about st. thomas.
I feel like i'm taking crazy pills

PLU's unofficial final score against Linfield was 6-1 PLU. Sounds like we left that field a mudpit & most of the game was played between the lines on the ground. I would hold the 6 goal performance against them.

harding and calvin
harding i think will stay in the top ten for sure because of the win against calvin. they might drop a couple those because of the score against st thomas. i figured that game would have been very close. Although it is really early in the season i feel that calvin might drop to about 13 or so. i know that they lost to teams above them but they needed to win one of those games this weekend. both teams should be around the time of nationals. As a former player i hope to see my unc bears jump a couple of spots after a strong start. we are 3-1 with a big win over biola # 20 and a wins pr csu-p and a very solid Irvine team. (Irvine will win the wcll div b i predict). our only loss was to # 3 St. Johns (6-4) very good team and very good game. i hope that the voters will move the bears up a few spots.

This is the first poll... keep that in mind... Teams are going to jump a bit the first few polls especially, but a 6-4 game against SJU is shows the caliber team we're talking about. NC is apparently much better than I expected, or even the RMLC expected this season... Some of the questions I have are in regards to where Irvine would finish in the RMLC? Calvin? Harding? Should be a lot of fun to figure out this season...

good point about the first poll! We played irvine last year and they have improved leaps and bounds. i really think that they will win there league. I would say that Irvine would not be in the elite group of the rmlc but in the second group. does anyone have details about the harding st thomas game i was really surprised about the margin of victory for st thomas!

My thoughts have been posted for the pollsters to see.
But real quick for everyone else - Harding has the talent to run with anyone in the top 5, however their lack of depth and some other issues will keep them from being with the elite.

I had Northern Colorado in my top 10 in the pre-season poll, and they certainly didn't disappoint this weekend. . .
Very impressive work by St. Thomas and St. John's. . .it's nice to see this early OOC play so we at least have some body of work to use in comparing top-25 teams.
The pre-season poll is just a guess. . .an educated guess, but a guess nonetheless. . .as Kyle suggested, there will be a lot of movement in the first poll I'm sure.

We need to clear up the UNC Vs St. Johns score. The final score we have is 6-4. we have that in a few different places (ie scorecard, statistics) I, Brian Evans, had 2 goals, chris perkins had one goal and tyler martinez had a goal. As soon as we can clear this up the better.
Thanks
Thanks

St John's is listed as the home team. Unless the tournament provided scorekeepers, their book will have to be official. The signatures of the officials would confirm it.
