PNCLL Week #2 (2/13-19) -- Predict/Scores/Discuss

Postby Dan Wishengrad on Wed Feb 14, 2007 3:32 am

Just want to give a big shout out to Brodie Merrill for coming up to Seattle to be a guest coach at Husky Lacrosse practice tonight. It was inspiring just to have one of the world's greatest players on our field, but more important was that Brodie proved to be a terrific teacher of individual and team techniques. With his help we may even have fixed a few things!

Thanks again, Brodie, and good luck Thursday in the LumberJax game!Image

That is awesome! Dan, I'm crazy jealous right now! Brodie isn't only one of the world's best, from what I hear, he is also one of the coolest guys you'll ever meet.

That's messed up. . .but nobody would be laughing harder at that one that Hushagen himself. . .AKA RHINO. . .

Nice work Dan. . .any time you can crack on one of my former players I'm all for it.

He should have won the Tewaaraton in 2005...easily the best player in the field game that year.

Score from Linfield. . .UPS was up 9-0 and then cruised to a 16-5 victory over Linfield. . .

Last I heard PLU was up 14-3 at the end of the third quarter. . .I'll work on getting a final. . .

Congrats to OSU and Oregon - keep up the good work this weekend!!

Amen, BYUalum. I got a chance to watch him in person at the First Four 2 years ago. He completely dominated that game and carried Georgetown to a victory. I've never seen a long pole dominate a game like that. An amazing talent!

PLU went on to win 17-3. . .huge game from sophomore Nick Tkachuk--PNCLL Division B leading scorer from 2006. . .he finished with 7 goals and 3 assists. . .

Also, All-American long-stick midfielder Matt Weurfful had 2 goals, including one 4 seconds into the game. . .I guess he faced off with his long-pole, won the ball, dodged and scored. . .nice start to his senior season.

In the UPS game, Reid Petit (3g4a) and Connor Donnelly(4g3a) each scored 7 points for the Loggers.

Not that it matters too much but Willamette only scored 3. WU just couldn't keep up and were down a few players, but did lead the game 3-2 several minutes into the second quarter. Thanks for coming PLU!

Sorry about the wrong score. . .I was informed incorrectly by the PLU coach. . .also of note that Will Patton, one of the key players on the Willamette squad, was suspended for the game and his absence was obviously huge for the Bearcats today. . .I'm sure he's going to be chomping at the bit leading up to the opening whistle against UPS tomorrow. . .

UPS up 11-2 at the half vs. Willamette. . .it looks like UPS is definitely going to be in the mix in 2007. . .
