Avatar problem

Since we changed over to collegelax, I haven't been able to upload an avatar from my computer, like the Darth Vader one I used to have. Is there a reason for this?

I'm experiencing the same problem. I had one uploaded which worked but when I try to upload a new one from my machine I get some mysql errors:

Heck, I can't upload a custom avatar period. It acts like it worked, but then it changes my avatar to a blank. I assumed it was just a disabled feature. Is there any way to fix this?

Looks like maybe some permission problems with the avatar directory? Here's a copy of the code usercp_avatar.php line 288.
