Super Bowl Commercials
My favorite was the Bud Lite Hitch hiker.
Barry Badrinath: Oh man, that's the most disgusting thing I've ever drank.

Overall, the commercials sucked. A couple quick favorites though: Bud Light "Slap" "Rock Paper Sissors" and "Bottle Opener", Go Daddy, Fed Ex "Moon", Blockbuster "Click Mouse".

They were pretty weak, my personal fav was a NFL commercial right at the beginning where they had different NFL players throwing a Super Bowl Party and Martha Stewart was giving Reggie Bush crap for not bringing clinatro. It ended with some random guy talking to David Beckham about his "angle" of being a "professional football player from LA" was not going to work at this party.

Ditto to all the above about the commericals this year being lame and weak compared to the years before. There was one ad showing the crabs chanting and bowing before a beer cooler with two beer cans. That one was okay but would not register on the Awesome or Sweet! scale.
I also saw a brief NFL ad showing people disappointed with their team's season ending. Following that was a captioned, "It is hard to say good bye." Then the camera pans on Brett Favre tossing a football looking beyond. The final caption read, "For some, it is even harder."

Dan Wetzel touched on that one in his column at Yahoo! Sports

When you scroll down to read his "Winners/Losers" on the Super Bowl ads, look for Loser: Chevy HHR. He commented about the GMC robot ad.

I watched the game with friends, two of whom are Coke account reps, and both were pretty disappointed with the Coke ads. I mentioned the fact that with the wars going on, Coke could have saved a ton of money by just bringing back the "I'd like to buy the world a Coke ad" and they sort of agreed.
I found it rather odd that Fed-Ex, nee K-Fed was not used by Federal Express but shows up in a financial ad.
My favorite was the Budweiser one with the mutt dog gone Dalmation. Since I have a 12 year old Dal, this was a given.

...wait. i forgot. The "nah man the fist pound is out of style" one. one word Hillarious! specially at the end when the new employee slapped the crud out of his boss. hahaha
plus its a common thing when at our basket ball games that if you get put on the jumbotron, and someone notices...you get slapped. and its great when family are watching the game on tv and they see lil junior getting slapped by 4 ppl on nat'l tv. but dont worry....its all in good taste.
