now zac, don't go around starting rumors...

Rice canceled with the game Vs. UNT this Saturday due to financial reasons. They will still continue on with their season as I understand.

It might be best to let Karl or a representative from Rice explain the situation so as not to get any wrong ideas.

According to the SELC forum, the Tulane/Auburn game has been postponed to 2/25.

After seeing the results from the Texas State game this past weekend, I'm excited to see how well they fare not only this season but also through the next year or two. With 10 of their 12 goals coming from freshmen, it looks like they may have picked up an offensively potent recruiting class.

Rice had to cancel some games largely due to personnel issues. We lost a bunch of guys due to the "academic demands of the university". Also, we have 4 guys that are injured for most of the season. While we were able to pick up a few more players, we were forced to make the decision with a limited roster and felt that it was in the programs best interest to not have a financially demanding season under such circumstances.

Well, that's news to me. We're supposed to have a game against them next weekend. Does the league know this yet or even the officials?

I suggest that you go ahead and get in touch with the Rice contact person and with Karl Lynch.

I've already contacted Karl via email, but I would think someone from Rice should contact me.

That is if they are indeed canceling our game like LaxFan25 said. If not, then I look forward to seeing them next Saturday at SMU.

Laxfan was being smarmy.

Note his use of the smiley emoticon indicating silliness....

In many instances the costs for home games is quite expensive (see the PNCLL officials' fees discussion http://forums.collegelax.us/viewtopic.php?t=7013)
