This Saturday's game between Texas State vs. Texas A&M at Aggieland will feature the teacher and the pupil (Tony Scazzero and Chris Park).
Just added this addendum: If I got this fact incorrect, guilty as charged!

I'm not sure but I think SMU plays Oklahoma immediately after the Tech game. That may be a test for their massive bench if the whole team travels to Lubbock.

I agree with you completely. Especially about the massive bench Before our game against SMU I said to my guys.....don't concern yourself with the bench, it is 10 vs. 10 on the field. If we stick to our game plan we would have a shot.

A friend of mine commented to me about seeing the SMU line-up and declared that SMU would win. I told him that it may not always be true depending on the will and the heart of the team with a smaller roster. That may also apply to two teams with larger rosters.

My question may have no relevance to what shrekjr said, but I'm wondering if most LSA teams have fraternity pledges still juggling between team practices/games and commiting to their pledging. Does that mean that is not true anymore these days compared to the days of old?

TCU has had the fratboy problem for the past few years. Last semester all the freshmen were scared to commit to the team, but this semester they seem a little more interested since pledgship is over for most of them.

We have a couple that are pledging but they know that we cannot allow it to interfere too much with lacrosse.

Unfortunately for us, your friend was correct in his prediction.....however, we sure did our best to make them work for it. They are a rather skillful group. Very tough to beat if you do not capitalize on any openings they give you. Last year, it looked like they gave Tech, A&M and UT all they could handle.

We had some Issues in the Fall...but now that most pledgeship is over guys can commit fully to the team...and i dont think anyone on our end's rushing spring.
but yea, it did create issues- there's a couple guys that i havent seen all fall and just now coming out b/c of this. On the flip side to what i said earlier, we even had a few guys drop the team due to pledgeship and just losing interest in the sport. We had one guy that was a FOGO that transfered in from playin at Grand Valley State up in Michigan that pledged, and just disappeared as the semester went on and eventually dropped the team all together...really a shame to see it happen

SMU will travel our entire squad to all games. We have a great group of guys, but we do have players balancing pledgeship and lax with SMU's spring rush.

To many great matchups this weekend to be talking about the over debated discussion of frat time and lacrosse........................

Hint.... Hint....well, I started with an "innocent" question about the fraternity time. Let's get back to discussions about the great match-ups especially Texas State at Texas A&M, what else?... oh, yes... SMU at Tech.
