Several alumni of the league have expressed interest in the possibility of playing as a team in the Victoria tourney this summer. The discussion started on this forum under the "2005 All-Star" topic and has gained quite a bit of response.
Info on the 2005 Victoria Tourney isn't available online yet, but will hopefully someday be found either at http://www.bclacrosse.com/ or http://www.victorialacrosse.com/ here.
Right now we're building a roster and trying to find out how much interest among PNCLL alumni there is. If you're interested, call me (Reed Harmon) at work at (503)675-5723 or email me at reed.harmon@gmail.com.
If you know someone who may be interested, please have him get ahold of me.
Also, a few questions/things to consider:
1. Does anyone know what dates the tournament will be held?
2. Any ideas on what to call the team?
3. What is the possibility of having this year's PNCLL All-Star Team playing in the same tournament? Possibly in a game against us? Or maybe we can just use them for practice in say, Seattle or something--just a few thoughts.
4. Coaches? Nominations?
Guys, let's make this happen. It sounds too fun to miss out on.
PNCLL Alumni Team - Victoria Tournament
I will second Jason's nomination of himself for coach!
I'm in.. I'll mark others as I talk to them...
Gus however is in, he doesn't even have a job.... I'm sure he'll nominate himself for LSM over defense anyway...
Maybe Dan can get us Dylan Myers....

I told Reed that I am in. As far as names go, how about "Northwest Nirvana?" This is our team name in Vail this year and we could use the same jerseys, thus eliminating any extra cost. You would not get to keep the jerseys, but we could use them. They look like the Team USA jerseys except the body is Evergreen with silver shoulders and navy trim. The numbers are white with navy outline. They will say "Nirvana" across the top.
Also, as far as Stockton coaching goes, I'm down.

Who are you, stickdoctor? (I'll add you if I tell me your name) Oh, and guys, we need more middies.

Good luck getting Jensen to run...
but that does sound like a solid plu line. Hey -- what about Schaffner and Burke?

The alumni team would be greatly strengthened with the addition of the good doctor -- Jason Swann, Simon Fraser (1999?)... arguably the best Long-Stick Middie our league has ever produced.

Let me know if I missed you, or something about you.
Explanation of the numbers after your name:
4 - You've paid. You're going, no question.
3 - You've said that you are definitely in.
2 - Someone said that you said you're in. Or the equivalent. Get ahold of me.
1 - Complete speculation. We want you/people have brought you up but we're checking for your obituary. Or in Neil's case, we're trying to steal you.
I tried getting ahold of last year's tournament coordinator for men's teams today, but am still waiting on a response. As for dates, for the past two years the tournament has been held on Canada's "Civic Holiday," if this happens again this year we can plan on July 30 - August 1.
Does anyone know of hotels next to the fields? I'd like to make a few phone calls and get estimates for rooms.
